Went to the Avoca Hotel last night for dinner with some friends. Sat outside on the decks bar/dining area. Would recommend if you wanted to watch the footy with some mates. I ordered a very delicious chicken pizza special (could not have been happier with it) while my fiacee ordered a standard chicken schnitzel with no real complaints. Prices can be a little higher than other places offering similar pub meals, but the experience and location do justify the increase.

Popped in to the avoca for a drink after dinner. Great beer garden, perfect for footy fans as there are screens everywhere. Drinks are reasonably priced. Service is a bit too dismissive for my liking but could have just been the night.

I like it a great place to eat and catch up with friends in a casual yet trendy setting. Prices are good and so is the service.

A nice place to eat. There is a large outdoor eating area and the food and service is very good. We have been there a number of times and will continue to go there.

Haven't had the best experiences here. The service is not consistent - sometimes good, sometimes not and the same can be said for the food. Menu looks enticing ....

Had a private function here and we were able to enjoy our own space. They accommodated our large party well with a long set of tables and plenty of room to sit as well as move. The service was fast and friendly.

Went on a Monday night for dinner and they did a $10 schnitzel. Service was a little lacking because it was so quiet. But good food, and a great space.

The Avoca on South Rd has a very relaxed, casual atmosphere both inside and out. A small group of us went out for a meal to celebrate a friends birthday and while the atmosphere was great we were still able to talk and were not made to feel uncomfortable when our table become rowdy with laughter, etc. The meals are delicious and affordable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Great place to dine with a group of friends.

Good place for a nice meal, but at lunch time on a Saturday unless your interested in Sports, eat inside as the TV is blaring and you can't hear anything that anyone else is saying
