Famous Ayam Goreng (Indonesia style grilled chicken) at Kingsford. Used to be a regular there but always pack with customers, better off takeaway.

Indonesian restaurant. Quite busy place. Food is great and price is not expensive. Try the avocado juice. Very tasty and quite nice.

Had lunch here with my sister while visiting Sydney - great chicken satay! Also had the beef rendang, was very nice. Little place that is obviously popular with the locals, it was very busy. Service was fast and efficient. Enjoyed it very much. Was a cheap lunch and very tasty. Treat for me from Tassie, places like this don't abound in Hobart!

Very busy restaurant, especially over lunch, lots of overseas students eat here mainly because the food is very authentic, Indonesian/Malaysian. Great satay and beef rendang. Fairly cheap.

If you want to eat in, you gotta be early, always full with students and non students. Good value for money esp for students cash flow. Unfortunately, the sambal chilli is not for free anymore.

This Indonesian restaurant is best known for their grilled chicken with hot and spicy marinated sauce. It is really good and reasonably cheap, worth a visit.

place is always packed every night and if you come in a group, you may not sit together unless you come early during dinner service, which is around 6. Ordered avocado shake, jelly drink they called 'es teler', fried chicken, grilled chicken and some stir fry veges to complement it. The best food is the chilli sauce or paste that is quite unique and spicy enough to complement the chicken. Overall the chicken was quite bland and not quite marinated as I would like them to be. Love the chilli though. The drinks were quite milky and not much topping or jellies which are quite dissapointing as we pay nearly $5 each

One of the best eating places near UNSW. They serve the most fantastic chicken and the sambal (mixed with kecap manis) is excellent. Definitely worth visiting.

Approximate cost: $10

The best 'ayam goreng' and 'ayam bakar' ever in Sydney.
Complete with their very hot and nice chili sauce as Indonesian people normally very like nice hot chili sauce. Must try their very addictive "sambal" and you will keep coming back to this restaurant.

Approximate cost: $8
