Green curry and a green tea were served rather promptly and by a polite waitress. The beef salad was a hit and the prices mean you wont complain either.

cute place. fast service. great prices. pad thai was nice. the fresh tea was served automatically which was a nice touch. food took about 20 min to reach the table. overall i recommend this place.

We frequent this place quite a bit for Authentic, fast and fuss free Thai! The massaman beef, thai beef salad, pad thai and the fish cakes are favourites of mine!

We never have to wait more then 20minutes for a table! It is quite a popular place with the locals and they do cater for large numbers as we had my older brother's birthday function here and they were fantastic with the preparations, they made sure all food arrived quicky, plenty of boiled rice for the table and drinks served promptly!

The decor is a lil outdated but I don't mind as the staff are prompt, friendly and food comes out quickly to the table! Great atmosphere here also!

I love Banks Thai, it still happens to be one of the best value Thai restaurants in Newtown. The food is yummy and is prepared with little fuss. The decor is a little tired but the food makes up for it. As the weather is starting to get colder I like to get the chilli basil beef as it warms me up.

I would highly recommend this restaurant as it consistently serves great food.

i go pass this resturant everyday so i decided to try it one day as i love thai food,i had a red curry with vegetables and rice it was so tasty full of thai spices and had some spring roles nice and crunchy,great fast service and will go again

I have never eatin in but have got home delivery when I lived in Newtown. My fav was there prawn fried rice and thai green curry. Fast dlivery usualy within 30mins of order.

Excellent and Fast service with friendly staff who serve the freshest food full of vibrant flavoring. The dining experience here is fantastic. the mood of the restaurant is ambient and bursting with life.

The owner and staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. The restaurant has a very Thai feeling. Banks Thai has a great menu and food is always very fresh.... Seafood cashew nut stir fry is THE BEST!!

This is a good little restaurant with very authentic Thai decor, including things like buddha statues, cushions,etc so you feel like you are in Thailand. The food is tasty, and good, but sometimes a little less sauce and oil wouldn't hurt. I had pad see-ew noodles with chicken which was around $12. Good, though there are lots of more cheaper restaurants in nearby king st. Out front, there is a sign that says this is rated 6th best of the Thai restaurants in Sydney. Would be fabulous if they lowered the prices.
