Bankwest

i love bankwest. I have never once paid fees. they are located in knox shopping centre and are open whenever the shops are open so yes late thurs & friday and all day saturday & sunday. i never have to wait when i go in there. its always straight up to the counter and you never have to fill in any forms you just tell them you want to deposit or withdraw money etc and they do it all for you. i think you can also get free coffee there.

We switched to Bankwest 3 years ago and have had a few teething problems, incorrect information given, wrong card sent out but nothing too dramatic. And funnily enough all the mistakes were made by the same person.

The savings accounts and credit cards work for us, we read the fine print and know how to use them so we avoid a lot of fees & charges.

Internet and phone banking is very user friendly and a breeze to use.

I have found the customer service in our local branch at Erina Fair, NSW is superb. The staff smile, ask if you need help & then listen to your responses. My teenage daughter has Bankwest accounts, but I feel she loves the hot chocolate machine the most.

Having worked in the Finance Industry for many years, I find Bankwest is one of the good ones and we are happy where we are.

It's interesting reading the reviews below because I've had very pleasant experiences with Bankwest. I've had a transaction and savings account with this bank for almost 5 years and have never had any issues. They have fantastic deals with their accounts, although I would like to see a no feel credit card with travel insurance AND a rewards program.

Tried to get a mortgage with Bank west about 3 years ago, at the time the market wasn't that hot, they really messed me around, they keep changing their the requirements almost on a daily basis, ended up going to The Commonwealth no problem at all.

Found their one-size-fits-all approach completely inappropriate for my needs and their "computer says noooooo" attitude frustrating. Eventually went to a competitor.

I went there to open a new account but i had to wait for about ten mintues to be served. Staff was friendly but because i checked everthing on the internet before i went there so it was like i knew more then them about the products.

i have banked for years and found the service very professional but at the same time they make your experience easy.

This bank just gave me a home loan and they made it so easy and it was quick. first class operators.

While we have to say that telephone staff are mostly good when you walk into one of the branches they first greet you with a smile and have a bagful of promises of fantastic things they can do for you then they get you the paperwork and sign shaking hands to seal the deal and then you learn someone somewhere didn't like the deal or the generosity of the staff who greeted you and gave you the deal so they reinvent reasons why they have to reword it and essentially give you the same if not less than other banks. Disgraceful.

First impression I was over awed by all the bright orange, very confronting. I had barely got in the door when I was asked if I needed help - hadn't even had time to get my bearings. I asked to see someone about a new a/c and was placed in what I call a pod where it took about ten minutes for another staff member to come and serve me. I actually new what I wanted - being an existing customer but felt like I was there for the first time and was offered I don't how many other things that I hadn't even requested information about. Very high pressure sales - didn't enjoy the experience one bit. Definately will go to my local branch next time I need to do something as I was so annoyed with the push for more products that I nearly walked out

Bankwest have done a complete revamp of their branches and it looks like they are really focusing on customer service and brand awareness. At the carousel branch they have a staff positioned at the entrance to welcome and assist you with your banking needs. They also have a nice waiting room which provides free coffee or tea and a coin counting machines for bankwest customers. Simply pour your coins into the machine and the machine will count the coins and generate a receipt which can be brought to the counter for reimbursement. The sale of books, piggy banks and keyrings is also great marketing for Bankwest and adds to the Bankwest brand recognition. They also offer some of the more competitive term deposit rates.

From the initial R & I through to Bankwest.. this bank has evolved but has always shown that customers service is a priority. Mistakes can be made in design.. Curtin Uni bank needed more staff and thought into design but look at Albany's.. modern design and 6 days a week. Top customers service!

Just a bank. I like that this is a local bank, with lots of ATMs around WA, plus free ATM use of Commonwealth banks.

The branch in Subiaco is good, although I had to wait a while. A down-side is the lack in computers to do your internet banking at the branch.

The branch in Nedlands is a bit small, and doesn't feel as professional.

I have been disappointed by some bad customer service.

bank west is a good bank i love doing business with them they helped me with consolidated my finances and all so there interest is one of the best there term deposit for kids a/c is 10% and that is top

I love how I can bank 7 days a week, when it's convenient for me. The staff at my local branch know me, my partner and my baby by first name and are ever so friendly every time I go into the branch.

bankwest is the place to go for money wise or even to just set up a bank account. i like bankwest because of the friendly staff but the only bad thing is the waiting part to see somebody

We have closed all our accounts with other financial institutions and moved all our business to Bank West. They offer great options in all areas of banking, home loans, personal loans and credit cards. We are happy with their packages.

All staff are very well trained in customer service and give good consultations on choices for accounts etc. Problem with business is the lack of flexibility due to being WA based. Other branches have good designs and friendly atmosphere especially with the new colours. Definitely good rates for everything against other banks, though.

they are good and splendid.actually,i dont have an account with them,but i do hear of there cool performance,and one day would love to check them out.keep it up with your good works.

friend told me who she went into a Bank West bank in the city with her student details and how easy she was able to open a student account and get a debit card their friendly staff could not help her enough

Applied for a credit card, made a typo in the on-line application and stated my salary incorrectly. Was rejected based on this and they could not fix the application. They spoke to me like I was a groveling student who needed some credit. I spoke to a second person because I was in disbelief at how the first person spoke to me and got the same treatment and service. Will not be a customer there nor will I recommend it to anyone.

Bankwest is an absolute joy to do banking with. When you walk in you receive a cup of hot chocolate or coffee/tea. There are no tellers behind Bullet proof sheilds. Just down-to-earth people. They have high-interest savings accounts that are perfect.

offer a good account to us, with low fees. Only disappointing thing is high fees if we ever use other banks atms. debit card system is handy for people who dnt want a credit card but can still purchase things on credit using own money.

Recently, we have applied a home loan successfully with this bank, so far, our experience with this bank is good. Their service is good. Just the interest rate is still a little bit high, and don't know when it can drop.

recently opened an account, they sent me the wrong credit card, tried to transfr money into a savings account, came back account closed, staff at this bank dont really care about anything
