A really hip and trendy cafe in a most unassuming location. This place gets really busy, but the service is always fantastic. Coffee is really lovely here and nice and hot.

I haven't visited for a while because I have been trying new places, (none worth reviewing)! but I will be back to Barclays because the menu has something for everyone, I highly recommend the lamb sausage rolls served with salad, so tasty and all prices are very reasonable, the coffee was good too. The cafe is quite busy but this adds to the atmosphere, the service is friendly and I always see staff keeping it clean. I will be back soon... Sadly my visit today resulted in me walking out after I was seated a menu didn't arrive and staff ignored me and served people around me who came in after me. I ate somewhere else!

A really big and bustling cafe located on a nice shopping strip in Heathmont, Barclay's is bigger and better then your average cafe. With a nice mix of rustic and trendy decor this place offer's more variety then typical cafe's and also very good quality food which is reflected in the price that you pay. The staff are polite when we visit but obviously run off their feet when we've visited, it's one busy place so take note if you're visiting during peak easting hours you might have to wait a little. The food and coffee is just that good, I consider it worth the wait. Stop in for their breakfasts the menu has so many choice's and everything is so delicious and fresh.

I am really intrigued by rustic decor because it changes the whole atmosphere within a cafe. The food sounds good, but the cafe seems pretty busy.

Barclays is a "trendy" cafe in an otherwise less than trendy area! It is ALWAYS busy, and that can be attributed to the good quality food and coffee.
This is definately not a child friendly venue (as it is limited in space) but a great spot for coffee with friends.
Lots of atmosphere, and the staff are friendly. (although very busy).

What a busy busy place! The day I dined here it was a Friday and school holidays and the place was packed! myself and 2 others squeezed on an outside table. The staff were flustered and they forgot to get water for us or take our orders. When we asked for glasses they told us to wait, not because they were rude but because they were so stressed and busy.
I ordered the salmon and potato/hashbrown style meal and it was very tasty so well done to the chef. Considering the business the meals didn't take too long - 30 mins. You wouldn't want to pop in on your lunch break!

I went to this very busy, somewhat noisy cafe not so long ago and had myself the Dukka Eggs. The yolks showed that the eggs were obviously free range, full of flavour and delicious. The staff were efficient and the atmosphere was noisy as i mentioned. The price was about average but the food was definitely worth it. Drop in if you are after some fresh delicious food.

A great cafe for those sunny lunches or hangover breakies...Really fresh and sumptuous quality food. Located near Heathmont station so if it is a hangover breakie you seek, you can even get the train there.

I highly recommend Barclay's Cafe as a place for breakfast. It's incredibly popular, and they take bookings, so book ahead if you're going with a group. All the food is good quality, so you won't be disappointed!

This is a very nice cafe in Heathmont, near the railway station. It has a large capacity, very good atmosphere and an outdoor area at the back. The staff were quite friendly and the food was good and good value for money. I had the belgian waffles which were delish but my partner's hollandaise sauce was a bit vinegary. A nice cafe but it's no Red Cup!

We went here for lunch for the first time today. The cafe itself is reasonably nice and kept quite clean. The young woman who served me was lovely and could explain the menu to us with ease. I had the Salmon stack (can't remember what they called it). It was presented beautifully. The salmon was nice and the potato base delicious. Service was also incredibly fast. We also had dessert. Cakes were a little pricey with my flour less hazelnut cake being $7.90. It was served warm with a side of cream. My son was also very excited with the miniature lemon raspberry tart.

We use Barclays for coffee rounds at work. The staff are great and they know our names and our orders off the top of their heads. Coffee tastes great and when we have not ordered Takeaway we have really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant itself. Would definitely recommend!

Have been here a couple of times for breakfast on the weekend. It's always busy and full of people. Staff can be a bit snooty, but the food is amazing. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. Bonus points for using loose leaf tea!

Went to Barclays today, the food was very yummy. I little bit expensive for breakfast, but I like how they have a lot of options. They were also very quick and attentive considering how busy they were. I wouldn't recommend the hashbrowns, they're the "fancy" sort of hash browns that make you wish cafes would just do normal boring but delicious hashbrowns.

Poor service and bitter coffee. Fine coffee granules in base of the coffee and on top of milk. Very disappointing.

Lovely friendly staff, with great food and coffee. The best part is the cakes. We used a whole cake from here for my 30th as we loved the slice we had so much. Was raved about and still the best cake I've ever had. Only downside is the price is expensive for outer suburbs, more like city prices.

I love this cafe! The staff are always polite and friendly and the meals reasonably priced! I love that this cafe serve fairtrade coffee which supports coffee growers in the third world and they use some of thier profits to support world vision.

This is a local haunt- so nice and easy to get to. One of the best cafe's in Heathmont/Ringwood area.. Due to this fact though they can up the price a bit and get away with it..I find the meals a bit pricy, but when there is little to choose from in this area.. It is nice to know you will always get a good coffee and smiling service..

We have been to Barclay's several times for breakfast, once for lunch and once for afternoon tea. Breakfast has been consistently very good to great and service generally good. They are a bit noisy - some carpet or curtains would help a lot. Price is fair - what I usually expect to pay. Coffee is very good.

Very nice cafe with a friendly atmoshere and a great location. Convenient for me as i live just around the corner and it's great to be able to stroll down for a coffee.

Having said that the coffee is fairly pricey, and the food even more so, but it is worth the money in my opinion. Grab a coffee card and every 10th drink is free.

I had to wait over 30 minutes for my cappuccino to arrive, and they weren't very busy. I was about to leave, when a waitress came over. She wasn't very pleasant when I tried to cancel my order, yet was quick to return with my beverage. She gave me an insincere apology with her back to me. The beverage was nice and the cakes looked delicious, but the service was poor once too often.

This is a great little coffee shop that you can just drop into and enjoy a coffee and muffin or breakfast or lunch! THey always have delicious things to eat and it's nice having a local place like this to go to then heading into the city for the same thing! GREAT!
