Great place to catch up with friends and pets on a hot summers day. Love to have a drink outside and enjoy the sun. The food is average, but the atmosphere makes up for it. Great place for lunch/dinner.

I took my Japanese friend here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised at the $25 lunch deal. Both of us had a lovely entree and main ( fresh and well-presented fish and seafood included) with excellent service and a drink each, we had a great time. It was crowded but there seemed to be no pressure to leave quickly. I will definitely be back! Afterwards a stroll along St.Kilda pier gave my friend a very nice impression of Melbourne, thanks Beachcomber!

Location is fantastic with beach views!

The menu is quite extensive and I am sure you will find something appetizing.

I have been here numerous times for dining or for a casual coffee.

Service is quite good, staff are friendly and bring your orders within a reasonable amount of time.

Be sure to use your Entertainment Book voucher for a discount too.

For a great beachside dining experience my top pick would be Beachcomber Cafe. Pop in for breakfast or the $25 lunch special - an entree and a main, with a drink - or splash out on the amazing seafood platter. The food is fresh and well presented, the staff are friendly and the views of the bay are spectacular. Ride your bike along the boardwalk and pull over for a smoothie or an ice-cream, or sit inside by the heater and try the chilli mussels (as hot as you like). It's a great place to bring overseas visitors, too. I highly recommend it.

We often come here when we have overseas visitors to entertain. The views are spectacular and the food and service not bad either. Theres heaps of seating and you can see the ocean views from inside and out. It also child friendly with highchairs available. Highly recommended.

The prices for some items on the menu are gastronomical, really just off the Richter scale. In saying that, the food really is nice, nothing too fancy. I shared a seafood basket with two others and enjoyed it.

The location of the cafe is what originally attracted us to here, upon comparing this to other restaurants and cafes along the area this was the best price range, sitting outside (After riding our bikes down - there are bike racks near outside seating) we were attended to almost instantly with menus and cool water. The wedges here are amazing, crispy on the outside and mushy on the inside, although ask for the sour cream in a separate bowl so they separate get soggy. Overall this was a lovely combination of location pricing and food. A+

Amazing location at any time of the day. breakfast is extremely delicious - i loved the muesli. However, breakfast finishes too early. they have a great deal (i think on tuesday nights) 2 courses (including oysters) for $25, as well as a glass of wine/beer. I ordered the calamari - very happy. the bread and dip was very nice as well. saw another table get the seafood platter, was amazing.

Approximate cost: $25
