Nice, charming restaurant with delicious food. The standout was the fact that the food wasn't too oily. Service was rather quick & our waiter was lovely.

I really like their fish and chips, it wasnt too oily or too seasoned, and the location is very convenient and not too noisy

The food her was terrific and so was the coffee. The strangest thing was the management. We were initially turned away even though the place was only half full and were only given a table because we insisted. We then noticed that lots of people were being turned away. It was 11am and they only served breakfast till 12 so perhaps they didn't want to do the breakfast menu but during the time we were there a lot of business was lost. Nevertheless we found the food delicious and it came quickly.

I had jewfish for main and mille feuille with goat cheese for desert. I was not too impressed with the fish but the desert is excellent. We ordered a bottle of red wine ($70) and it was nice.

It occupies a lovely spot in Surry Hills - perfect for weekend brunch. However, BCF is prob not high on my list of repeat visits as that 1 Hat comes at a price premium. I speak only for the pancakes and fish & chips - they weren't outstanding...there are other cafes that offer the same quality if not better, at lower prices. The pancakes were actually dissappointing - 3 tiny discs, with a small caramelised banana and a small dollop of maple butter. Give me bill's ricotta hotcakes anyday. I did like BCF's prosciutto sandwich with gruyere, currants and almonds though (I'm not even going to try spelling the sandwich name)

Positioned in the most funky part of Surry Hills, this Bistro has a lot on offer. You can go there for brunch, lunch or dinner. They have lovely selection of cheese and the takeaway sandwiches are divine~ I will never look at sandwiches the same way ever again. Never thought they can be some yummy.
