Back again and it's good as this is a good location
Food is as expected as is the service.
And the prices are competitive compared to everywhere else.

My husband and i stopped in for a coffee after having a nice long walk along the beach, needed something hot to warm us up. After 15 minutes we had to ask for our coffee again, it soon arrived thereafter but was disappointingly on the cool side, could not be bothered asking for another, basically left without our coffee which we were looking forward to.

Oh it's gone down a lot since I last came here.
I have no qualms about the people service, as they are just doing their stuff, but there's no additional customer service that would give them anything extra. And I asked for poached eggs and got fried ones. I know they didn't misinterpret my order, as I saw the lady write poached on my order.
The prices aren't reflective of the poor quality of the food. Bit high for a lower than expected quality.

Shame. It's a good area and it needs a good cafe.
No wonder their customers are down

Out and about and ended up at Christies Beach. Visited this retro cafe and sat in the lounge area with the sun streaming in. Very nice mug of coffee for my wife and myself. Very good priced menu on the wall with breakfast under $12.

Try the BIG breakfast, my husband just loves it.

My husband and I like this cafe, great views and delicious food, breakfast is our most common meal here, with the big breakfast being my husbands choice, very generous portions. Coffee is always great, staff pleasant, waiting times do vary depending on time of year and day, but is worth the wait.

Bought a voucher from "Deals.com.au", that entitled 2 people to a coffee each plus a choice of Omelette, Croissant or a 2 pancake stack.

Took my Mum there for lunch yesterday and I have to say, that we were both disappointed. We decided on the mushroom omelette, which took 20 minutes to get to us, despite there only being 3 other customers in the shop.

When it finally arrived, it was small in size and sitting on one half of the plate. There was no toast or any type of garnish. Just a bland, thin looking omelette. It was hot and quite tasty, so points for that but the presentation was very unappealing.

We were still hungry, so ordered the 2 pancake stack to share and paid the extra. It was quite nice but we thought it was expensive for what we got. The coffee was fairly hot and tasted good. Service was slow but friendly.

It was a very cold, windy day and obviously something wrong with the front door because it kept blowing open - the owner had to keep putting a lounge chair in front of it - then move it to let people in. Perhaps fixing the problem would have been a better solution?

The café is only a 2 minute stroll to the beach and has so much potential to be a great place with beautiful views. The owners just need to lift their game a bit. I wish them luck.

They offer some delicious food, but we have found that we often have to wait a while to be served

Expect to wait a bit for your order, but it is worth it. My husband and I enjoyed a delicious "big" breakfast here recently, generous serving, cooked perfectly and service was friendly, but as I said, a little slow, basically because they were quite busy. Seems to be very popular for breakfast. We also had a couple of cappucinos each, very nice.

Superb – best breakfast ever. Had groupon voucher.
First impression was the great service and wonderfully presented and delicious cappucino.
Big breakfast – good quantity bacon, 2 eggs, delicious continental sausage, perfectly cooked hash brown with toasted ciabatta. $17.90
I asked for my mushrooms and tomato to be put on my husband's plate – absolutely no problem.
Eggs Benedict – toasted ciabatta, two poached eggs, spinach, hollandaise sauce with added bacon. $13.90 with ham
Everything was perfect.
Set opposite lovely children's playground and reserve with ocean views in the distance. Good parking.
Will definitely return.
Have coffee loyalty card – 6th one is free.

Fabulous beachfront location with ocean views. I tried the steak burger and my girlfriend the chicken burger, both tasted fresh and we were presented. Our milkshakes were great aswell. Great place to go for a cool drink and somthing to eat on a warm day.

1 Asian girl looking after the whole front of house. Poor thing. And her English wasn't all that great. But she still did a good performance and service was good.
2 meals were ordered. Wasn't too bad either considering we came without expectations
3 extra items were included and they didn't mind that we chopped and changed the menu to suit our tastes. Kudos to them
4 little mushrooms was all I got with the big breakfast. I mean really???

Approximate cost: $avg

I can't comment on the breakfast but will say that our lunch was pretty good.
