Great food, great prices and the biggest range of tempting cakes you've ever seen! My only advise is to not buy the 'sampler', they'll cost you more and its a greater temptation! Service is second to none and is a great place anyday of the week to catch up with friends.

Approximate cost: $12.00

Yes, the cakes look and taste delicious, but if you've got a bit of extra cash to splash around, why not investigate the adjoining restaurant? Meals are somewhat traditionally inspired, and all of the expected Italian stereotypes- Antipasto and Brushcetta for entree, coffee after dinner- is available. The Restaurant itself is small, yet provides a nice intimate setting, and staff are helpful, unintrusive and professional. Not to be confused with the sandwish bar/ buffet area, which also provides decent food. But the real reason anyone visits brunettis is always to see their decadent cakes- worth a window shop when you're in the area.

YUM...so much food and at great prices. You could go for morning coffee and not leave until afternoon tea, hearty meals full of taste and hundreds of cakes and slices to tempt you. Very child friendly too.

I've been to Brunetti several times and love the vast array of cakes and tasties in the window, but think that it's all right. I'll agree that it's lovely to sit down there to have a coffee or one of their delicious thick Italian Hot Chocolates, but I think that the quality of the cakes is very variable. Having said that, I'm a pastry chef myself and have a pretty hard-to-please palate. The prices are what I'd expect for a place with such a famous name.

This is one of the most tantalizing places you will visit. The renovations have lived up to their reputation and Brunetti's thrives in the hustle and bustle of Little Italy here in Melbourne. The cakes are wonderful, albeit a little overpriced. As is the range of snacks from the cafe side of things. Coffee is great if you can stand the wait.

A Melbourn institution!! The best cakes in Melbourne!! They make a fantastic cup of coffee too!! My fav is the canolli. Regular or chocolate filled or half and half.

A trip into Lygon Street is not complete without a stop off at Brunetti.

Surprised this is not already listed. But it is always busy and during the weekend difficult to get a seat so maybe others are keeping it a secret. If you are into sweet cakes and/or good coffee go no further.
