This review is for Melbourne Cheap Movers, Melbourne VIC

As renters in Melbourne, we've used a few removalists before, some good (see my review for Fragile Removals) and others less so (see my review for another company whom I won't name here).

We decided to use Melbourne Cheap Movers this time as our two choices for moving day were a Sunday or a public holiday, both of which would mean a much higher cost with any other company.

However, I'm really glad that we chose these guys - not only are their prices very reasonable, they were also very professional, sending me an email to confirm the booking I'd made online, then a text to remind me of it. Rocky and the boys were on tine and worked really hard, completing the move quickly and efficiently.

Thank you, boys, for all of your hard work - it was much appreciated!

Moving house is stressful and there's a lot to do, so I take the approach of outsourcing as much as possible to skilled individuals.

As a renter, getting my bond back is important to me, so it's especially important that whoever I get to do my exit clean is reliable, honest, hardworking, meticulous and fastidious. Brett delivered on all these counts and more!

He cleaned an entire 3.5 bedroom 2.5 bathroom home in record time, and it was all absolutely immaculate when he finished - he'd even bothered to sweep out the garage and drive. He also let me know that there was a problem with the windows - the fly screens could not be removed for cleaning due to a proprietary brand of blinds which had been fitted to the house - he not only stood by his work, he told me that I was to ring him if I got any trouble from the real estate office and he'd back me up!

His prices are also incredibly reasonable, and did I mention how quick and thorough he is in replying to emails and queries? And as though all that wasn't enough, he's a really nice bloke to boot. Nice one, Brett, thank you for all of your hard work, because believe me, it is appreciated!

This review is for Melbourne Endodontics, Melbourne VIC

I had a dental emergency some years ago that required not one but TWO root canals, and Melbourne Endodontics were the specialist I was referred to. Thank goodness! Dr John made the entire process so painless that I wondered what all the fuss was about with root canals.

While I hope never to have another dental crisis, I would totally recommend Melbourne Endodontics - they took all the scariness and pain out of a procedure that most people dread!

Some years ago, I had a dental crisis and had to have all of my wisdom teeth removed, two root canals and attendant crowns. I don't think I would have gotten through it without the great staff at Brunswick Road Dental Clinic!

They were friendly, kind and sympathetic to my situation, and guided me through the whole mess with great professionalism. I had a great experience with all of the staff I dealt with, and my teeth are better than ever!

This review is for Bayford Of South Yarra - Service Division, South Yarra VIC

My partner and I had a small, geriatric Peugeot 306 which had had a really hard life before coming to us. As such, there was plenty that was wrong with it, and when it went wrong within 36 hours of our receiving it, it was sent to Bayford South Yarra as it was the closest service centre to us at the time.

This turned out to be a great turn of events, as the boys there are some of the best mechanics we've ever had the pleasure to deal with. James and Brandon, who we dealt with most often, were courteous, hard working, honest and decent, not words normally associated with mechanics. Every time we sent the car in, they worked their magic and I swear that everytime it came back, some small niggling fault that we hadn't asked to be fixed also mysteriously disappeared.

Alas, the car was eventually written off in an accident and we purchased a car of a different marque, but in future, I'd definitely consider buying a Peugeot, if only so that we could go back to Bayford. Thank you boys, for all of your hard work, it was much appreciated and we miss dealing with you!

This review is for Melbourne City Toyota, Melbourne VIC

I like to send my car to be serviced by a dealer where possible, and Melbourne City Toyota is the most conveniently located centre to me. I found their service department to be perfectly satisfactory service-wise, and they had the car back to me quickly. I must admit that I didn't shop around for prices so perhaps I should, but overall, I'd be happy to send my car back here, if only for the convenience.

When I'm in the area, I love to stop by Luis to grab a delicious pastry, or stick around for breakfast if I can - the pastries are delicious, and the Croque Monsieur is a triumph of brioche, cheese and ham!

Looking for a croissant or pastry to start your day decadently? Stop by the Parisian and select from the mouth-watering spread! Be warned that the indecisive (like me) will be mesmerised by the sheer variety available, and that's just on the right of the counter, where the croissants, brioches and breads are - a refrigerated counter on the left houses some delectable looking cakes and tarts. The strawberry tart is already on my list to try the next time we stop by...

This is a great place to come for cheap lunch. Be warned though that service can be a touch slow, and that the food can be a little heavy. That said, you can't go wrong at under $10 a head!

The wait can be a while and it's always packed, but in general, I've found the doctors here to be helpful. They listen to you, and the practice seems to be run pretty professionally. I'd always suggest making an appointment to minimise the wait time. The adjoining pharmacy is also very convenient!
