I have been taking our VWs (Golfs and Polos) to Burwin for servicing since 2008 because there is no other VW dealer in Melbourne Metro who gives the customer service and quality of work that Burwin do.

I had an issue with a Golf and initially took it to 2 VW dealers who were closer to my home.
They both spent several days trying to identify the problem and all they would say was "It's a feature of the car".

I then took it to Burwin and they not only identified the problem but also fixed it within 2 days...so much for it being a "feature".

I would recommend Burwin to everyone due to their professionalism, customer service and quality of work.

Thanks @DavidA58, I am looking for a genuine VW dealer to service my Tiguan. A few VW dealer I went, one pretty pricey and dodgy, the other one just ordinary to me but had bad reviews in the past.... sigh

You should contact Volkservice as I mentioned as they use genuine VW parts and as I also mentioned the owner is a vastly experienced VW technician and there would not be any issues with your warranty.
Give Andrew a call and ask him anything to satisfy you about any concerns you may have.

I changed 4 tires on my car and started to hear a 'whoop whoop' noise from the wheels. I took it into Burwin (as it was due to go there for a different reason) and asked them to take a look. They told me it was not mechanical and it was due to the new tires (an aggressive tread). So I took it back to the place that fitted the tires and they could not find anything wrong (given my car is only 4 years old). Out of good will, they replace all 4 tires with a different set (a less aggressive tread as per Burwin's diagnosis). Unfortunately the sound was still there. I then called Burwin and asked if they could take another look at the car. I was told by the service rep that I had to wait for another car of the same year and model as mine to come in so they could switch the tires around and dignosis the issue. I asked them if there was anything else they could do given I did not want to wait an UNSPECIFIED amount of time for a car to come in. He said that was all they could do. As a last resort, I called a different VW service center, explained the situation and was told that there were other ways in dignosing the issue and waiting for a car to come in sounded absurd. They asked me to take the car in and within 15mins, diagnosed the issue as wheel bearings. I booked in my car for 3 weeks later to get fixed and it ended up getting fixed within the day. They also helped me fix my door lock out of good will, which Burwin told me was going to cost $500 at my last service.

I bought my Golf Wagon here in 2011 after an intital poor experience at Barloworld Glen Waverley. They were honest and I got a very good deal, although I realised later that it was the end of the month and I'm told this is a factor in the keen-ness level of a salesperson. I have been back for its first service, which was VW-pricey and I was very surprised that for all that money they don't wash the car. They did however, respond very positively to an observation re how it was running and subsequently undertook a major warranty repair/replacement. The service manager is very smooth and I can't help wondering how much unecessary cost is built in to pay for the frippery - but they still don't wash your car!

I've been sending my VW for service at this dealership for the last 4 years now and found Burwin to be true professionals in what they are doing. All the staff there are always polite, helpful and most importantly knowledgeable. No wonder, they were awarded the VW Dealer of the Year for two years consecutively in 2009 & 2010.
