Expensive. Terrible after sales service, even when the manager got involved. You'll do far better at one of the many other home and electrical stores. Shop around, you'll see what I mean.

I have been a loyal Camb Elec customer over the past 22yrs. I am saddened to report I was very disappointed with the service I received today (4/12/12). I drove 30mins to get to their store (have moved some distance away over the years) to get a quote for replacement ducted heating / possible cooling as our restumpers pulled all the existing ducting out. Firstly, the rep did not get out of his seat. He rolled his eyes and said to me 'you've picked the worst possible time' 'are you kidding' 'we are just trying to get everything done for peoples airconditioning and you want ducted heating now?'. I informed him I a quote for ducted heating / cooling and that I just wanted to see what price they could do and that timing was not that important - I could wait a few months for installation if need be. He told me 'thank you but we are not interested in providing a quote - come back after Christmas sometime'. Wow, they had a loyal customer in their store, cashed up and ready to place an order, not really concerned about timing of installation and they could not spare 5mins to provide a quote! I walked out of the store amazed and disappointed at such bad customer service. Their advertising slogan is "give us a go" - how ironic !

I have recently purchased an oven, cook-top, dishwasher and kitchen sink! I had purchased a fridge and television many years ago and was very happy with the service and prices then. I am again very happy with the service and prices on my recent purchases.
The sales people are relaxed and confident. I struck up a good rapport with the person I was dealing with ... which is quite unusual for me, as I tend to suffer foolish sales personnel very briefly (unless they're entertaining in the same way that some very bad movies are entertaining)!

I was invited to be the audience for the cooking demonstration while I was browsing, so getting lunch supplied was a bonus! I also saw induction cooking demonstrated for the first time and was impressed enough to buy an induction cook-top, albeit one at a ridiculously low floor stock special price.

There was an anomaly with my preferred method of payment, which was efficiently and painlessly overcome.

In short, no complaints, no hesitation in recommending.

Absolutely fantastic service. Not pushy, Glen really knew his product and asked lots of questions so he understood what would best fit my needs. He didn't oversell.
He told me the warehouse would ring me at 8.30 to arrange delivery the next day and they did. Warehouse told me they would ring me on the designated morning to tell me - within an hour, when they would arrive. They did!
They told me they'd be here between 10 and 11 - they were! 10.15 to be exact.
They took away the old equipment, cleaned the area, installed the new equipment, showed me the basics of how to run the equipment. They were polite, competent, hard working. I can't fault them!!
ND!! If I find, within 20 days (I think) that I could've got the equipment cheaper elsewhere, they will refund the difference immediately. I doubt that I will but........

When you go to Camberwell Electrics you will find that the staff actually know about the products they are selling. They can advise you about which dishwasher or fridge will best suit your needs and budget. You will get the best price. They can also arrange installation. As you see by other reviews here, really worth a look if you need new appliances for your home.

Our house is kitted out with a few things from here too. The stores location is a drawcard for us, but the service is the thing that always brings us back to Camberwell Electrics. The staff dont seem to have the sell for the sake of selling attitude that we've found in other stores.

Not long ago my refrigerator stopped working and i needed to replace it that day. I went into Camberwell Electrics and they helped me choose a high quality replacement model for a fantastic price. They were very helpful and i can definitely say i will go there again.

Our house is full of things we've purchased from these guys. The prices are always the best, and the service is fast and efficient. If the goods need to be installed, the guys are great, dont make a mess, take away the old stuff, and come when they said they would.

Fantastic service. They know what they're talking about and will do anything to help you. The prices are average but they price match which is a big plus. They have a wide range of a large number of items from air conditioners to TVs.
