After reading all the positive reviews of this business, I decided to take my Timberland shoes for resoling. The proposed repair was explained in much detail along with a hint that I should lower my expectations. Now, this pair of shoes are the most comfortable I've ever owned and were left for repair with some trepidation. The result: amazing, the womo reviews are spot on. I've since had a pair of thirty year old RM Williams boots resoled and a pair of Gaerne motorcycle boots stretched.

Excellent in every aspect.

Due to the woeful treatment I encountered for pointing out that an item did in fact have a discounted price shown on the shelf, I will never go back. (I had previously noticed discrepancies several times when viewing the shopping docket at home and finally remembered to check at the checkout.)

Other than that, a handy local shop with a good range of products, given its size, albeit with interesting pricing and customer relation policies.

After months I had found only one matched person whom I found attractive. So, thinking that my profile was possibly the culprit, I had another go at the "personality test" but ended up in the same space, with the same matches. Also, the attractive person unexpectedly dropped out after a couple of promising communications (and I'm such an interesting person too!), a fact that adds weight to claims made in other reviews concerning the genuineness of communications.

My personal details were "stolen". I received an email from a scammer with details that only eHarmony had. I suspected that their database was not as secure as they thought. I emailed my suspicion along with a request that ALL my details be removed from their database. It appears that they did the removal (for which I give two stars for service), but they did not mention the "stolen" data. After reading the other reviews, and also reviews of RSVP, it occurred to me that these databases contained just the sort of data that would be highly desirable to marketers, etc. Have we been duped into unwittingly volunteering masses of information to unscrupulous businesses?

Never, never again! At least RSVP organised functions in the real world that I did attend.

This review is for Coonans Hill Fish & Chip Shop, Pascoe Vale South VIC

There are non-ngotiables for any Fish and Chip shop:
* fresh product
* clean oil
* hot oil
I don't need to see fancy packaging or an array of exotic sauces or counter hands in scuba gear to know that my purchased goods are edible. Well, more than that, I'll go as far to say that the chips are comparable to the best I've had!

I could have ordered on-line and had the equipment delivered but opted to visit the shop (I don't like buying on the net and am suspicious of websites offering such low prices). After an eventful drive over to Box Hill, I entered what is more a warehouse than a shop.

This shop is the physical location for www.ausmedia.com.au and www.hot.com.au and, as such, has no showroom, just a reception counter.

After confirming that the printer I would be buying is what was advertised on the net (I was expecting something like, "Oh, you want the xxx-Y model, this is the lower spec xxx-W model"), I made my purchase. While the product was being retrieved from the store, I noticed, in a pile of boxes, a scanner I was interested in, but had thought out of my price range. With an unbelievable price and cash-back offer on top, another purchase was unavoidable!

Total cost for a photo scanner and colour laser printer was $310.00 (excluding the cost of petrol, mainly used waiting in road work queues). Very happy with the deal. I will now be buying my consumables (mainly printer ink) from this business in the future.

Note that if you intend to buy at the shop you need to know exactly what you're after. I gave four stars for Service despite this, as it is primarily an internet business.

Approximate cost: $310.00

I have recently purchased an oven, cook-top, dishwasher and kitchen sink! I had purchased a fridge and television many years ago and was very happy with the service and prices then. I am again very happy with the service and prices on my recent purchases.
The sales people are relaxed and confident. I struck up a good rapport with the person I was dealing with ... which is quite unusual for me, as I tend to suffer foolish sales personnel very briefly (unless they're entertaining in the same way that some very bad movies are entertaining)!

I was invited to be the audience for the cooking demonstration while I was browsing, so getting lunch supplied was a bonus! I also saw induction cooking demonstrated for the first time and was impressed enough to buy an induction cook-top, albeit one at a ridiculously low floor stock special price.

There was an anomaly with my preferred method of payment, which was efficiently and painlessly overcome.

In short, no complaints, no hesitation in recommending.

Approximate cost: $3,300.00

This review is for Thitiya Thai Massage, Pascoe Vale South VIC

I enjoy the combination of muscle work and relaxation that Thai massages provides. I initially tried Thitiya Thai because they were close by. I was, in fact, quite happy with Vigorous Thai, both in town and in West Melbourne, although the turnover in staff is unsettling.

The differences between the two practices, however, have endeared me to Thitiya Thai:
* family run business - always welcomed by the owner
* mature practitioners - women, as opposed to girls
* consistent quality - fewer practitioners
* more knowledgeable - diagnostic, not just going through the motions (I'm learning new things, such as the operation of the lymphatic system!)
* competitive pricing - rewards program and occasional discounts

The reason for only four overall stars is that the rooms can be noisy, due to the very busy Bell Street traffic. I am now a regular customer, so that is a minor consideration for me, but mentionable nonetheless.

I can recommend this business especially for those who require some remedial work.

Approximate cost: $60-$70/60mins

This is a wonderfully unique independent supermarket. It's huge and spacious. There are no cramped aisles, and shelves are, for the most part, only head high. There is a cafe, with cakes and pastries baked on-site. They sell only Australian sourced fruit and vegetables, which are clearly of better quality than those sold by the biggies. Staff are helpful, and plentiful! They also have the loyalty card, easy parking, inoffensive musak and very competitive pricing. This place also goes a long way to satisfy my "ethical shopping" stance. Website: www.lamannadirect.com.au
Oh, and I have yet to hear "Sheree, can you come to the registers for a price check", or the banal "security check aisle three".
