The all you can eat food is brought out very quickly and is very affordable when you are on a tight budget! The dumplings are average quality although sometimes the fried dumplings can be a little too greasy/oily.

The service is very ordinary, but I guess most people don't eat here for that - they come for the cheap, quick meals.

The last time that I ate here the table was still sticky as it hadn't been cleaned properly. Other times I have had glasses with lipstick marks still on them.

It is not the sort of place that you would go to if you were wanting to take your time ordering, eating and chatting with friends. As soon as you have finished eating the staff come over to ask if you have finished and kind of act as though they expect you to leave if you have so that someone else can have your table.

Approximate cost: $15

Don't expect anything flash in this place, it's located down Tattersalls Lane off Little Bourke St Chinatown in Melbourne. The restaurant has seen much better days - dirty and crampy, sometimes you might get a little bird flying around in there.. don't put your arms on the tables, you'll end up with sticky elbows.
Service - the worst you could expect, no smiles from staff, your food is practically thrown at you when it comes out and you're practically thrown out once you finish eating.
HOWEVER.. the dumplings.. delicious! Especially the chicken & prawn and also the Dan Dan noodles.. a must try! The price.. can't be beaten anywhere else!
For the taste & great price, I can handle bad service.. The tea & soy/vinegar mix is all self service. If you want an experience.. try this place out. They are very popular, so expect to wait for a table.

Sounds like there are many better places, regardless of price.

You come here for the cheap dumplings. Forget about getting any service. If you call out, they stick their hand out at you and walk past. Best to order everything at once, eat and leave. Would only come here out of sheer desperation.

Place to go for a cheap meal. Do not expect for much service, you can always opt for take away to avoid waiting and poor service &/ hygiene.

Approximate cost: $8

I found this restaurant needed to focus more on cleanliness, the bowls we had were wet and one had some sort of yellow paste smeared on the bottom of it. Tables were sticky as well. Food was cheap and very affordable, but food was not very appetising. Food came out quickly.

Approximate cost: $10.00

Ha ha, totally agree with you on the cleanliness aspect. I haven't been to this place for 7 years now because of the poor hygiene.

Absolute best value dumplings around. Don't expect 5star service not that type of restaurant. If wanting a quick meal before a show etc perfect place.

You go here when your on a budget, drunk, in a rush or for the experience...or all 4. The service is amusing if you don't get offended by grumpy waitressess and a guy that will tell you to leave if you just finnished eating and new customers walk in the door with no where to sit. Also, happy birthday is played on the stereo on the hour regardless..I think it's to get people out.

Approximate cost: $6-$12

If the dumplings were amazing you could put up with the horrendous service and filthy surrounds, however, sadly the dumplings taste like they are from the frozen food isle at the local Asian supermarket. Absolutely nothing special about this place, we were seated and ignored for over 45 minutes. When the order was taken and the food arrived, the dumplings were soggy and lifeless. CASH ONLY ?- they don't deserve a cent!

Approximate cost: $12-15

I love this place! I've eaten there loads of times and recommend getting there early to avoid the que! I've seen people waiting there for over an hour to get in.
The service is what you would expect for such a fast-turnover sort of restaurant. They don't want you dilly-dallying, its obvious that they want you to order, eat, pay and leave. but that's half the fun!
It is so cheap that you can understand why they don't want people spending hours there.
Oh and if you don't like sitting on a table with strangers, maybe this isn't the place for you!

Approximate cost: $7
