Very very busy. The ambiance felt great-hustling and bustling of people, almost felt like I was eating in Thailand.
However, the food was more on the salty side and the refilling of water wasn't quick so I felt like I was tasting salt all the time.
The food is ok, but dining environment is very bad.....ANd i think maybe they don't have enough staff or something....have to wait quite long for order....but it is a good choice if you have late lunch or something....cause don't have to wait that long...
Approximate cost: $30
Always busy, but I go there around 2 pm on Sat or Sun and it is quieter then and I don't have to wait for a seat.
The food is superb a so cheap for the quality. It is definitely authentic Thai, when my neighbour asked did I come often as it was strange to see "foreigners" in here!!!!! He was a Thai student.
The prices are great, the choices far too many, and the only down side is that to get as many people in as possible the seating is mostly backless large stool type. I like to lean back so I try to get the seating against the wall.
If you haven't been then go there. Easy to get to, being in the Capital Square centre next to the Capitol Theatre and convenient to all buses and trains.
Approximate cost: $10
Hi there! We tried to have the backless chairs to add to the authentic feel, just like a Thai market stall or canteen experience. But we also appreciate the advice and have now added many chairs with backs on them so you should be comfy now. Hope to see you again!
best place for Thai dessert in city area. The main course is average but the dessert.... omg !!! nyummy .... especially the stick that u dip into the green sauce. Beware always long Que.
Approximate cost: $15
are they the ones who have coupons on scoopons?
no.... they definitely not with coupon. they are so busy and have really good business.
I love this place sooo soooo much, been there since i was 10 and loving it ever since!! Best food, nice people, good company and nice value overall beauty!
Agree, fantastic atmosphere too
Fantastic place to eat! Food is delicious and the ambiance really gets going at night. With that said, it can get extremely packed and it's common to be waiting up to half an hour for a table. Staff are generally friendly and know how to make good recommendations. Overall a great place to eat, just make sure you get in early!
We only wanted dessert & since there was a long queue we decided to takeaway 2 boxes of sweet potato balls & banana fritters to have it at a cafe at the Galleries. They tasted quite good but more rice flour than sweet potato or banana.
One of the busiest Thai restaurant in Town. The food is good and the price is not too bad considering where the restaurant is located. The only downside is that the place is pretty small so when you get in there you don't feel comfortable but oh well as long as the food is good can't complain too much.
stayed in market town last weekend went to chat thai as i love thai food, the ,enu is good had a curry with rice the coconut flavour stood out and i loved there rice very busy place and will go again
Authentic Thai at a reasonable price, look no further this little gem offers the delights of Thailand at the heart of the city

I totally understand what you mean by the salt and water. I wish their cups were a bigger! But I generally think the food is amazing.
Hi Bluey! We are very sorry the food was a bit salty when you came. We have discussed with the kitchen and they will be more careful in the future. We hope to see you again soon!
