I have been using chrisco for 10 years and this order will be my last.

We were standing in a parking lot waiting for our delivery to arrive (pick up order said between 10am-12pm). The driver finally called at 220pm to say he would arrive at 430pm, when we said we can't can't wait till then due to restrictions of use of our road, we would be trapped in town, he suggested leaving our order over night in a parking lot. That was the solution offered to us.

Thankfully an amazing couple offered to travel 2 hours out of their way to collect our order for us and bring it back to town for us the next day. Two strangers were more concerned for us and our delivery than a company iv paid every week for the past 10 years.

Not only did we have issues with our delivery, the order itself was disappointing. Every year chrisco fills my chest freezer to bursting point, this year, it's barely half full, they have halved the size of their hampers but charged the same amount. Our porterhouse steak box was defrosted, packaging broken, blood through the box and they're easily the worst porterhouse steaks iv ever seen. Flat, fatty, c grade meat. Put simply, if I saw them in the butcher, I would never buy them.

The chicken breast used to be in 500g pouches, now it's in 1kg blocks and the meat itself looks bruised.

The cleaning chemical box is half the size.

When I used to open the boxes it was always a fun, happy vibes. But every year the quantity and quality drop. They used to pack ice packs in the freezer boxes, not a single one used this year (no wonder my steaks arrived defrosted), they used to give you a present each year, haven't seen one for two years.
They used to decorate inside the boxes with tinsel and bonbons etc, now you get nothing.

Iv called customer service to complain. Now I'm just waiting on a response. At a minimum I want a refund for the porterhouse steak box. And we have cancelled our order for next year.

I used to Rave about chrisco to friends and family. Now, you're just the company who ruined Christmas.

Approximate cost: $850

After ordering hampers and gift cards from Chrisco for over 15 years I think we are about to part ways. I ordered many gift cards this year and requested early delivery, which was confirmed via email and 2 phone calls. They don't send all the gift cards out at the same time, so I have only received 1 parcel so far and am still waiting on another 3. I called today and they still have not been sent. I like to do my shopping early, so this has certainly delayed me. I will NOT be purchasing any gift cards from them again, I will start my own savings plan. I will still order a couple of hampers as they are always of good quality and it's nice to receive them just before christmas, less instore grocery shopping for me.
9/12/18 Update - After receiving my hampers and finally all my giftcards I have now decided to end my relationship with Chrisco, it has been stressful this year, the roast in the meat hamper I ordered was a chewy, rubbery, fatty lump. I asked for a refund, they replied almost a week later and asked for a photo (what a joke) as I did not have one I had to provide a copy of the content list for that hamper, so if I didn't have it there would not have been a refund coming my way. Also, when your gift cards are delivered, you have to sign for them, well, one of my deliveries containing $2500 worth of gift cards was left in my mailbox, I did not sign for them. Luckily they arrived. I have had many other issues with them this year and now it is over.

Thank you for that. I didnt know they did gift cards and Ive been thinking of getting hampers from them. I heard they are expensive for what you get though. Is that true?

Hi ManyTravels, yes some of the hampers are a bit expensive, but the are quality products - no home brand, it's great receiving them at Christmas time - everything paid off. They also offer tv's, furniture, gaming, homewares and of course the gift cards. Mine finally arrived, Australia Post misplaced some of them. I have always found the gift cards to be an excellent purchase, they offer almost anything including jb hi fi, woolworths, coles, kmart, rebel, super cheap auto, harvey norman, target and so much more. You pay an extra 10% to cover fees, handling and postage, to me it is worth it. I have everything paid off well before Christmas and then shop for the presents with the gift cards. So in the end, they came through for me this year and today all my hampers will be arriving. Payments each week start at about $1, depending on what you choose. Enjoy!

Chrisco has been charged by the fedaral court recently coz of the unfair cancellation policy ACCC took them to court I wouldn't recommend them a lot of the hampers are rubbish so I started a Christmas fund

I have been ordering hampers from Chrisco for over 10 years now. There have been some hiccups along the way but they always fixed everything. I now also order gift cards from them, which makes it so much easier at christmas - having that bit extra to buy presents. Everyone is always excited when the hampers because they often put in some extra freebies. One year one of my icecream hampers had partly defrosted, I told them and they replaced the whole hamper. I was very happy with that. No complaints here, they make Christmas a lot easier.

Having the large growing family I have these guys are the best way to go to make sure our Christmas is sorted I use them every year to pay of gift cards or toys and even a little extra for mum and dad with flexible payment options from weekly to monthly you can't go wrong I find they're cheaper than the other hamper companies offering the same service and very reliable too you can now even lay by over a 3 month to 6 month period and they do easter hampers too.
