Great place to catch up with friends, really liked the vibe here. Their burgers are awesome/flavoursome, we enjoyed some entree jalapeno poppers and hot wings, we loved them, didn't want to stop eating them but had to leave some space for their delicious burgers. My Texas 15 was memorable, Yum! My husband and friends said the ribs were the best ever, mouthwatering, fall apart ribs dripping with the most delicious jack daniels bbq sauce. No complaints here, a very enjoyable meal with friends.

I would have to say this is one of my least favourite burger places. There are far better burger bars you could go to in Adelaide than Chuck Wagon. The service was good. No complaints there. But the burger was very greasy and sloppy, I didn’t even finish it as it was getting a bit sickly. The fries were not very nice either. Bit disappointed as I had heard good things about this place. Unfortunately my experience did match my expectations and it is unlikely I will return.

I'm so sad that the chuck wagon was so bad to you! We were here again on Christmas Eve, to have lunch with some of my boyfriend's family. We LOVED our hotdogs, and his sister (who is 12), loved her burger. I did find that there was too much sauce, and I had to scrape some off... it seems like they are hit and miss maybe?

Love the chuck wagon! Their portabello mushroom chips are amazing, although not as light as you might imagine- they are deep fried and covered in batter, haha. But everything on their menu is awesome, especially their hotdogs.

There are plenty of burger joints in North Adelaide, and I would put this one near the pick of the bunch.

Sounds like the chuck wagon has improved since previous reviews

Checked out the Chuck Wagon with friends, great place for a decent burger. They are celebrating the new Star Wars movie with many ridiculously massive burgers as well as shakes and desserts. These burgers are $18 and I think if you finished it you will have a heart attack. Just the good old usual burger for us and our girlfriends trying the new desserts, which they could not finish. A definite must check out if you love enormous burgers.

Was in need of lunch and felt like a burger so a work colleague and I thought we would give them a try. Firstly, the service was great, extremely quick with our order. The fries were great but our burgers were disappointing, very sloppy, greasy, it just fell apart. Can't say it looked appetising either.

That's a pity. We've eaten at the Chuck Wagon a few times and their burgers have always been excellent. But sometime's there's different chefs on, maybe they weren't bringing their A-game!

My partner told me this was one of his top 10 favourites in Adelaide so I just had to try this place out.
When we got there he order for me so I just sat at my table waiting for the food to arrive. There was parking right outside, there indoor and outdoor seating, old movie posters on the wall so the atmosphere was very welcoming. Especially on a bright sunny day :)
When the food arrived my partner told me he order me "the chuck" with extra provolone cheese and for himself the "Black and Blue".
Chip came first so we snacked on those. SALTIEST CHIP EVER. One chip one drink of water. It was nice little shoe string chips and they were cooked until crunchy. SOOOOOO disappointed on how salty it was.
The burger shortly arrived and after the first bite I had no appetite for the second. The bun was brioche so that was nice, but the patty was over cook hence dry. The cheese flowed everywhere and so ruined the presentation. There was no sauce on the burger so I had to use the tomato that came with the chip. This just wasn't my burger at all.
I had a bite of my partner burger but I didn't like it either because it had blue cheese. That's just my personal preference though. My partner did say that his burger was cooked well, not too dry and that the blue cheese combo make it taste fantastic.
I pretty much just ate the top bun of my burger and my partner finish the rest. I guess I am a little more picky on my food but its because I know what I like. Fingers cross the next burger place would live up to my stands :)

Found the service was great but the burgers were disappointing

Another variation on the good ole burger.
However, there wasn't anything overly amazing about this one.
They use shoe string fries though, which is a good twist, but once you've had a few the salt is really too much.
Nothing wrong with the burgers. Similar to the other places I've been. Go find it and give it a go.
