I recently had to make a last minute move from Melbourne to Sydney due to new employment. I contacted city-move and spoke with Laura. She was simply delightful to deal with on the phone and was prompt with her follow up.

Once I had locked in my dates my removalists were super efficient and arrived in a timely manner. One of my items was slightly scuffed in the move but my removalist Mohamed took it upon himself to see that it was fixed. He got it professionally re-sanded and varnished within a few days and he and his partner even returned to set up my rooms as I wished.

I cannot speak highly enough of this company and highly recommend their services. I know who I will be using next time I move!

I used CityMove in November 2012 based on previous WOMO reviews. They were the best removalist company I have ever used in Sydney. They went through a checklist again (services, prices etc) before we started to ensure I knew exactly what they were going to do. Both men were fit and very efficient. They didn't waste any time, packed the truck perfectly and took care of any delicate items as necessary. Both were also very polite and wore their uniforms. As they also charged by the minute, there were no surprises with the fee. I have since recommended this company to friends.

I am writing in regards to the service provided by Citymove for my recent move- it was fantastic. An extremely competitive price, friendly staff, fast, efficient, and extremely careful with me belongings throughout. I would most definitely recommend them to friends and family for any future moves!

I had a small move within Adelaide and I was very impressed by the price! Once the removalists arrived they were on time, fast but gentle with my furniture and I was even more impressed.

What really impressed me though was over hearing them say 'Don't drag it on the slate' they cared about the house and my furniture. My partner also overhead them making sure my furniture wasn't put on the cement outside the truck, making sure there were blankets under them. Every item that wasn't
boxed was wrapped with blankets and everything arrived to me destination safe. I'll happily recommend them to friends and family.

Don't use these guys. My job should have been $1700 and they demanded $3500 after packing everything into the trucks. When I refused they took my belongings to an unknown location and held it for 4 days before then demanding I pay $5000 for it's return (they added storage fees and double handling). Check out other reviews online. You'll see I'm not alone. Wish I'd done that before booking them. Court ordered they repay us plus damages.

I booked their service based on the positive reviews on this website WOMO.com.au and their website which states they are professional, fast and efficient. Also that by paying by the minute they save you money.

My experience - they were definitely not fast, they were not efficient and they did not save me money. The 2nd removalist was a waste of space and did not leave the side of the main removalist. They were SO slow that my boyfriend ended up using their trolley to move things himself (like the washing machine, shelves, drawers, etc). Both of us were so frustrated by the slow pace of the removalists that we ended up moving almost half the boxes and items from our 2 bed apartment to the truck ourselves.

It took them 6.5 hours to move a 2 bedroom apartment just 15 kms and all they had to do was place the items in a garage at the other end. They didn't even have to take apart a bed or put it back together.

Once all the funiture was moved into our new home, I noticed damage to an ottoman and notified the company immediately. As I had signed the forms stating there was no damage when I had made payment (and they won't leave until this document is signed) I apparently didn't have any stand for the damage claim. For the poor service however, it took me numerous follow up phone calls and emails for them to offer me a measly $75 compensation.

$650 and 6.5 hours to move a 2 bed apartment to a garage...definitely not fast, efficient or worth it.

I booked for the period 11am to 2pm, and was a bit concerned when somebody rang me the day before to say that I had booked for the later slot of 2pm to 5pm I think it was. When I said no they said there would be no problem putting it back to the original time. I think a 3 hour window is not great anyway, but went with them as they say they are carbon neutral and their advertising suggests that payment by the minute saves money and that their removalists are fast and friendly. I was booked to move on a Saturday and the new address only about a five minute drive away maximum. They arrived 56 minutes late with no call to let me know they'd be late or when expected. When they did arrive I was immediately worried at the two who were very young and not much experience. Both guys were lovely and careful but took 3 hours to one load which was just the big items, white goods, beds etc. As it was so late I told them to just do the stuff that wouldn't fit in the car. They had to dismantle the bed and a futon base, and reassembled the bed, but most of the rest I had put in easy reach. When it came to pay I pointed out their advertising said that if they are late they pay you, so they tried to call to find out what to do but the office had closed for the day. I ended up paying over $320 for one load moving within 5 minutes of the address I was moving from. Later when I received a feedback email and said how unhappy I was, I was offered $30, which I refused and said it wasn't sufficient. I have been completely ignored ever since, despite sending a couple of emails and leaving a voicemail message.

Move was smooth. The Citymove guys were friendly and helpful and professionally wrapped up my mattress, fridge and glass. They handled everything with care.

We were very impressed with Jan and his partner. They were very professional and worked very hard to make sure our move was completed as quickly and efficiently as possible. They took extra care to make sure our furniture was properly packed in the truck. Thank you very much Citymove for taking the stress away from our moving day. We were able to settle in a lot sooner than anticipated and even had time to go out or dinner afterwards!
