Under new owners, quality is very average.

This is a very popular bakery in the Adelaide hills, always busy. Once you try one of their pies, sausage rolls or one of their other delicious pastries you will understand. Such friendly staff and overly tempting delights.

Always nice here. The people are friendly, the place is cozy.
Feels like one of those small village bakeries that have so much charm

Visited the Clarendon Bakery for the first time last Sunday, and my big, beautiful Cornish pasty was the best I have ever had (and I've tried a few over 73 years) Will return!!!!!!

You just cannot drive through Clarendon without popping into their Bakery, everything is so good, cannot say I have a favourite as i have loved all my delicious purchases. It is always busy, very popular with locals, no wonder, their treats are mouth watering. Make sure you give them a try, you wont be disappointed.

Really good quality meat and fillings in their pies. A Cornish pasty is my favourite!
Great to report that the new management hasn't changed the products and have improved the payment process.

I love their pies! My girlfriend loves their sausage rolls! This bakery is very popular, especially on weekends, once you try any of their pastries, you will understand why.

This is probably one of the most popular bakeries in the Adelaide Hills, just try some of their mouth watering pastries and you will understand why. I just love their sausage roll and pies, so whenever we are passing through, we just have to stop and pick some up for the family. Their cakes are also delicious and hard to resist.

Tried another country bakery today for lunch. Another wonderful pie and a good cup of coffee at this pleasant and friendly food provider. Warmed me up well.

The staff are so friendly here and their pies really are fabulous, no wonder they are so busy all the time

While out for a weekend drive and feeling hungry, we stopped at this bakery, having heard it was good. We weren't disappointed. I had a sausage roll and my husband had a pie - both delicious - and we bought some finger buns to go. I wish it was closer...

I also like this bakery - visited today

People come from near and far to eat at this one. Met a couple that moved a long way away into the hills the other side of the city who say they keep coming here because it's really that good.
We have tried many of their pies and a lot of the buns. I wouldn't say they are significantly better than other places, but I cannot fault any of their products. Believe me, I've had some real shockers. So kudos on this one for getting the formula right.
And it's in a good location.

I have been here a couple of times on my travels with the family. A must purchase here is their pies and sausage rolls, they are delicious, not to mention their cakes, quite a few to choose from, the kids really love them. This bakery is hard to drive past without dropping in. Friendly country bakery.

What a wonderful little bakery! Friendly staff. Shop was clean and tidy. Fantastic pasties, which were reasonably priced. May have to try a pie on my next visit.

Only criticism was having to pay for tomato sauce.

Was very much looking forward to getting a coupleof cakes for my brothers birthday. Years ago, this bakery was fantastic. Today, not! The caramel slice did not have much caramel, the chocolate topping was discoloured & the biscuit base tasted burnt. The Banana Caramel pie, ewww fake banana flavour, sickly tasting. The chocolate donut appeared over cooked, it was dry & not as good as I've had before.
The service was excellent, lovely lady working there, polite, friendly & interested in her customers.
But that does not make up for the very disappointing cakes that were purchased.
It must have changed hands since the last time I was there.
Won't be going back

Approximate cost: $5

This bakery really is one to rave about. Absolutely everything I have ever bought from this shop is amazing. I sometimes go in there and have to consciously tell myself that I can not spend too much, but I absolutely always end up spending more money than I intended to. This is one of those bakeries that you will be tempted to buy things that you do not even normally like, just because they look so delicious! and when you do... you will be blown away by just how yummy the thing you just bought that you usually do not even eat, actually was. Be careful, this bakery should have a sign on the front door saying - WARNING : management can not be held responsible for your child-like tendencies when purchasing in this store and insists that you please enter at your own discretion!

I discovered this place by accident while going on a bit of a drive down to Goolwa way. It is located in a lovely area and the food is great. I had a nice sausage roll and a very lovely vanilla slice from this bakery. The pricing was good as well with the sausage roll, vanilla slice and a strawberry milk only costing $9.20 in total.

The service was great as well and I had a lovely chat with the nice lady behind the counter.

Great little bakery - always a friendly face greets you and they have delicious bakery items. My husband is a hot cross bun connoisseur and he says 'their's are the best!'

Only a little bit 'out of the way' this place is an absolute cracker of a bakery and well worth the trip up the hill to visit. With bakery items, cakes, pastries and hot food this is a wonderful little place you shouldn't miss. do yourself a favour and visit.

There Cornish pasties are the BEST in Australia....OMG! there to die for!! This bakery is so cute its like walking back in time.....

Yum! This bakery has the best everything - it used to be a secret, and now everyone in the hills knows about it. Prices are good, and from memory, I think they're open on sundays, unlike some other bakeries in the hills.

I would recommend anyone going on a country drive to stop here for a bite to eat at a great price. We always stop here for the hungry footy boys after a big game, staff are always friendly and have an excellent, wider range of items than the average bakery.

Approximate cost: $10.00

Anyone who's been on one of those long country drives up in Adelaide hills and not been there has missed out. The bakery has been around for 100 years and I don't know how it was back then but i can tell you now this bakery is bettered by few.

Fantastic food at great prices! Delicious fresh cream and mouth watering pastry. We make weekly trips up from Adelaide just to visit this bakery in the beautiful hills and the friendly staff always remember us and miss us when we can't make it up.
