Comme Kitchen

A lovely venue. Walking in you feeling like you are entering a grand home. Upstairs (via a lovely sweeping staircase) are a set of function rooms. Downstairs is a dining room and a large 360deg bar in a separate room. The venue is very stylish in decor, winelist, menu and service. Definitely the place to go for a first class evening. I have been for both the restaurant and the bar. Highly recommend both.

I went here on the weekend for a function. We were in the "Grand" room and it was just beautiful. The cocktails were great and made right in front of you, and the staff really friendly. I found the finger food to be quite nicely presented, but there was not much of it. The mini burgers were really gorgeous, so juicy and fresh. There were little crab cake type canapes that were very nice also. It was a great night all in all, and I definately would like to go back for dinner.

The food was good. Nice, old-fahsioned decor. However, everything was over-priced and the servings were pretty small. Only went there because I got two for one deals with my entertainment membership card.

I knew the food would be good and the venue gorgeous but I was utterly blown away by the service. On the night the staff were super attentive and did an amazing job of circulating in my 110 guest cocktail function wedding. If you are considering cocktail for your wedding (and why wouldn't you? NO table arranging and place card making AND a much more casual and fun event) definitely look into Comme. The amount of food you get for what you would pay for a sit down function else where will make you want to weep for joy and will satisfy even the most doubtful foreign born parents (like mine!). Go visit Comme.... you won't regret it

I recently spent a week in Melbourne and had the opportunity to eat at Comme. We're glad we did! We opted for the degustation so we could sample a range of dishes and they were all delicious. It was quite refreshing to be asked if we'd like champagne or sherry with our oysters. The sherry was a beautiful, icy cold Spanish fino so we snapped that one up quick smart! The restaurant surrounds are beautiful and the staff are very professional. We'll definitely try to get back here again when in Melbourne next time.
