Relaxed French, just lovely. I had the french onion soup and the quail, both very nice on the palate, washed down with a Pinot Gris. Service was good, attentive but not in your face. I will definitely go back to this french eatery.

Gills Diner has some excellent qualities, yes. An amazing room, good looking staff and a whole lot of interesting booze, but damn, the food. A little bit shabby folks. Decent bread is brought out followed by “my worst dish of the year”, veal shank with gremolata and potatoes and blah blah blah. I'll tell you what it came with alright. No bloody flavour! The food and coffee is amazing and the staffs not only offers superb service but are absolutely gorgeous. Absolutely love the steak and mash. Have heard the pasta dishes aren't that great, but breakfast dishes and steaks have been great.

I recently spent a week in Melbourne and had the opportunity to eat at Comme. We're glad we did! We opted for the degustation so we could sample a range of dishes and they were all delicious. It was quite refreshing to be asked if we'd like champagne or sherry with our oysters. The sherry was a beautiful, icy cold Spanish fino so we snapped that one up quick smart! The restaurant surrounds are beautiful and the staff are very professional. We'll definitely try to get back here again when in Melbourne next time.

The food here was pretty good. I had the duck liver parfait followed by a pork belly dish accompanied by some really tasty salads and greens. I thought everything was very well cooked and presented. Service was good, never had to call for a waiter. Definitely a place to consider.

Good food, friendly service and cheap corkage. It's always busy with waiting people on weekends. Booking is a must. If you are 5-6 people, it will be approx. 25 Aud PP at the end.

Excellent service, had the bar-b-que food ordered separately from the menu not banquet (the banquet didn't look worth the money), the meat was all cooked at the table, and was excellent. Staff were very polite and friendly
