They do well here. It's a bit more Westernised than the last time I came here, but the food is still good and tasty.
They've got some nice staff who are all very friendly and eager to work there

I've avoided this place because of the pricing - it is a lot more expensive than the cheap eats on the rest of gouger. However, my boyf had a work-related event on, so we had the pleasure of eating here.
The food is amazing. We all shared some entrees. The san choi bao, the wontons, the shallot pancakes and the dumplings were totally amazing entrees. They were more high-end and fancy than your regular asian restaurant food, beautifully prepared and presented. Ditto the mains - my partner and I shared the chicken mince and a pork belly dish, and barely got through half before we were delightfully full and happy.
I would happily recommend Concubine, in comparison to any restaurant in its' price range. The food is top-tier, elegant chinese: a step below fine dining, and about three above cheap gouger street chinese food. Not a style that is seen enough in Adelaide!

A very nice restaurant, really liked the decor, found our meals to be of a very high quality and the staff very friendly and attentive. It can get a bit noisy when they are busy which is annoying because you almost have to shout at each other otherwise you have no idea what is being said. They have an extensive menu and I really must recommend the prawn and chive dumplings, so delicious.

Book their Shanghai room for last year's Christmas Dinner with work. It was strongly recommended by one of my colleagues. We picked the option B Banquet which was $65 per person. (with $200 min spending) The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great too. Definitely a 5 star restaurant.

Great modern asian food. We were so taken by the entrees that we just ordered a selection of those. We dined upstairs which has a great ambience. Service was good. Expensive for Asian food but we will definitely go again for a special occasion.

We visited Concubine on a Thursday night after 9pm and we were very impressed. I am not usually one to like Chinese food but I quite enjoyed the meals here. The Peking duck wraps and the Salt and pepper whole quail were apparently excellent. I had the Beijing shallot cake for an entrée which was very tasty with an unusual pastry texture. We had a few Yum Cha dishes for mains and they were all very nice. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was warm and relaxing.

Approximate cost: $16-25
