Why is the clock at the car
park payment machine set 7 minutes ahead. We have been charged twice now, 5 dollars each time despite arriving back at the car park within the free 2 hour period. We complained and were told we should go by the clock on the car park machine, which is 7 minutes early, rather than the time our mobile which is er mobile and set at GMT so is accurate, and we wouldn't be able to see the machine clock, as its in the car park, until we arrive there. We were told it is set the same as the incoming clock, when you arrive, we checked, it is not. The incomng clock matches our mobile.
DFO must be raking it in, conning hundreds of shoppers. Amazingly the car park attendant said they don't have a complaints form, he'd also said [redacted personal identifier] had resigned so we couldn't talk to him, but said someone would phone us to discuss our complaint No body called! Time to call Fair Traiding!

This place is a fun place to shop with heaps of parking space. The only downside is of course the service. Given that its an outlet, you wouldn't expect people to be able to help you all the time. However when you manage to find a great deal it makes the day worth while. Peter Alexander usually has great deals as well as Sheridan.

I like going shopping at DFO, though do go early to avoid car park head ache.
Has great stores, good specials, I find that it's hit n miss for me I can at one stage and find nothing then go a few weeks later to find heaps. I am very local to DFO so it's great.

The food selection is very standard it really needs a better food court with more variety.

The service is not the greatest. The only store that I can say that gives exceptional service is the womens Calvin Klein store.

Approximate cost: $200.00

You will save a lot on the big brand names here. Its best to go early in the morning because this place soon gets packed and its hard to find parking. The Esprit store is really good, you will be amazed at the prices.

cheapest place ever in sydney for shopping. also , the centre is quite practical ( for instance the birkenhead point outlet is not) , stores are close to each other so you get to browse easily . You can find most of the brand names : puma , polo , hilfiger,...

DFO Homebush is quite the treasure trove of reduced retail goods from chain stores. Whilst it seems promising, I find that their stock is not really that dramatically reduced, so it isn't always worth making the special trip for a shop. I have found some amazing bargains before, but they don't always happen. A pretty big range of brands stock items there though, which makes it a little more worthwhile.

I remember when they first opened most brands were 'cheap' as in good value.

Nowadays you really can't find jeans or any clothing at a price that you feel as 'cheaper'.
Surely you've got specials here and there, but most of the clothing that I picked up weren't 'discounted price'. What I mean by that is that I could have gone to local westfield and paid similar amount.

What I really dislike about some of the retailers here is that
Some retailers would have a number of racks with large $18 sign for example, then when you look in close it will read 'from' in small tiny little letters. Of course you don't find out until you get to the counter to pay for things.
Then you look back and check, of course only 1/10 items in that rack are priced anything close to what you expect to pay.

I used to love shopping here, I'd take 4~500 dollars come out with a whole new wardrobe, but that's no longer possible.

Could not agree more. Did the same. Years ago it was pleasant and exciting to look forward to some variety at good prices but as with so many centres, it is same as same as. They honestly think the public are dummies re; price and the seasonal stuff that is last years or the unsellable stock from the warehouses. Not interested in DFO any more. Looking for small markets far afield. Thanks

The clothes here are a mixture of dirt cheap to quite expensive- for example the Oroton is still in the high hundreds, low thousands. I was surprised at the peteralexander store though which had relatively new stock at extremely cheap prices ($20 for a pj set anyone?)!
