I wouldn't recommend buying anything from them and I would recommend going to Ted's Camera Store because their products are dodgy. Also the staff are always extremely rude to their customers and the service is appalling.

I'm sorry you have had a bad service experience, I will make sure to speak to the store managers regarding this, as staff absolutely should not be rude. I do sincerely apologise for that. Please note our products all come from Australian stockists, they are 100% genuine Australian stock and are of the same quality as any other. Thank you for your feedback.

Staff are pushy and unhelpful. Cannot really be trusted to give objective advice. shop is fine if you know exactly what you want but dont go there seeking an guidance on the best product or value for money they will simply try to sell you old stock or best margin. Very arrogant, rude and extremely bad customer service.

I received a shipment from these guys but one of the boxes appeared to be missing. Later it turned out it was with another lot of boxes that had arrived at our office around the same time. They went to a lot of effort to track down the missing item which was beyond their control.

In fact, I bought my Sony Zoom lens from the Melbourne shop.
It is a busy place however, the guys served quickly and find the lens I asked for. In addition, I was looking for a bag. Although the shop was crowded, when the person who was talking to me, noticed that I was not happy with what they have on display, (because they were all either too big for my mirrorless or not good quality) he went back and came back exactly what I was looking for. That is what I call a good service. Moreover, I had a good deal more than 100 dollars less than the nearest competitor around.

Approximate cost: $1350

I was looking for a good online camera store in Australia. I found DigiDirect and thought it'd be okay to order from them. How wrong I was!! No updates until I had to call the store 1 week since I'd placed my order, then nothing was done even though I sent my identification details as I'd been requested and patiently waited for another half a week until I have to call back again. From the moment I placed my order until it was shipped, it took me 5 phone calls and 4 emails, and 2 weeks of waiting. Worst part was, it was sent to the wrong address!! I'd even sent my details over twice for identification check to "be safe, for security," they said. How could it be sent to the wrong address then?? I literally bolted out to the address it was wrongly sent to as soon as I found out. I was lucky that the tenant was a good and honest person. So much trauma for such a simple order!! Do not buy online from this company!!

I recently had a party and wanted to print 200 photos to give to friends. I heard about this place from a friend who knows a professional photographer who goes there. I asked them to print three photos - colour and black/white, then went to another photo store and did the same. I couldn't believe the difference in results (when you paid the same price - about 19-15c each for digital photos). Digidirect uses Fuji photo paper and the photos were so much sharper than HP paper. You don't even have to wait 24 hours and they will give you the photos in 10-15 min. The service was so great too, the lady was helpful and even offered coffee. I am so happy with the results and printed my 200 photos there, and even joined as a VIP. It would be hard to find another quality photo processor of the same standard around the city.

Approximate cost: $15c per photo
