It's very normal this one.
Just your usual people doing usual stuff eating the same old.
I just couldn't see anything special about this place that would make me want to choose it over something like the food courts nearby

NEVER EAT at EAST TASTE, Gouger St ! We did and were food poisoned last week. All of us who ate at East Taste last weekend felt lousy a while after the meal, but that was nothing compared to the next day. I went back to inform them soon after, and they took NO responsibility for the food poisoning. He accused our lunch, or food we supposedly ate before the meal , and even food we supposedly ate after, but not his own food. He offered nothing in compensation, no refund , not even a replacement meal, much less an apology. [redacted inflammatory comment/personal identifier]

I have eaten here twice now and both times have enjoyed my meals, nothing fantastic, just really good chinese food. The servings are not huge but adequate, also a bit on the expensive side.

I like coming here every now and then. Even though I'm Asian myself, I enjoy their chicken and corn soup, the sweet and sour pork and their large fried rice. Other things I come here for as various fried noodle dishes and the crispy skin chicken. Friends of mine also say that this is a good one.

Great food , one of the best I'm gouger street. When I went it seemed like they were understaffed as food service took awhile . The servings are not that large considering its a bit pricy. Overall if you want great food this is the place to go.

typical asian food, not bad food but slightly oily. the food is very good value for money and i especially liked the fried icecream! the cafe is a little bit small and squishy, but it's good when you want to head over for a supper on a saturday night at 1am.

One of my favourite restaurants on Gouger street, their sald and pepper eggplant is delicious! Does get very busy so booking is recommended. The turnaround of tables is usually pretty fast but you don't feel like they are rushing you out the door. Service is friendly and quick enough, nice to sit outside in the good weather as it can be a bit noisy inside. Overall it's a fantastic place and I would recommend it highly.

This place is delightful. It is a little more expensive than some of the cheap and cheerful chinese eateries on gouger, but that's because of the great service, lovely decor and atmosphere, and general elegant and comfortable feeling. It's still very reasonably priced though!

The menu is great, I am still getting to know it. I love their e-shand or red pepper anything. My friends and I sometimes like to pick anything we haven't tried yet. I think there was a tasty shredded beef dish last time I went.

It's great when you know a place does everything well; you don't have to stick safely to their signature dishes or one part of their menu. East taste is that sort of place.

Very much worth visiting.

The service was excellent to start with. The deep fried oysters are a real treat. The T-duck is something worth trying out.Also liked their fried rice and sizzling lamb in ?black bean sauce.Tried one of their authentic pancakes, was lightly sweetened and was not as heavy as other desserts.

Extensive chinese and other asian cuisine that is much more authentic than most. Servers are knowledgeble about their dishes and chef will make changes to dishes to suit preferance
