We had quite complex travel arrangements and Mary organised the whole trip very well with connecting flights etc. She made very good recommendations and always gave freely of her time - we had a fabulous holiday and are very grateful to Mary for her work and for following up a refund from one of the tour companies

Cant heap enough praise on the staff at Emerald Lake Travel. They booked our honeymoon for us and nailed every detail.

My partner and I travelled to England last September. Thanks to the Emerald Lake Travel girls we got the best price flights and they helped us with insurance. It's great to know that I can go in to the shop and ask about anything, which is hard to do if you book over the net.

I have used ELT 4 times for international travel.
Owing to the tyranny of distance and associated time, effort & cost, international travel at the best of times is a pain in the place where the Sun don't shine.
But ELT, excuse the pun, is a gem. First experience was that they cut about 10 hours of my original plan produced by one of the big players in the market.
All 4 times they have ensured my special needs (Type 1) have been built into my flight plans.
Once, time I had to cancel on the 11th hour. ELT gracefully backed out the booking & secured the refunds (flight & insurance).
Last trip, I had severe food poisoning. Lost 7kg in 5 days. ELT contacted insurance company & made sure I was looked after and again, gracefully cancelled & re-booked my flights. Can't get better than that level of service.

They have been my travel agents for the last ten years when I've travelled different places overseas. Friendly, efficient, patient staff. Reliable service. It's really nice to deal with a small agency and such pleasant staff.

We have had three experiences with Emerald Lake Travel. Canada, Alaska, Hawaii in 2009, Around the World Travel 2011, and New Zealand 2012. Each and every time we have been extremely pleased with the care and attention they gave us and our arrangements. We didn't have any problems directly related to them. I think the only problem was accommodation in Hawaii and I booked that myself off the internet. Never again. Thankyou Emerald Lake Travel you are the best.

Although not wealthy I have managed to get to Europe four times in the last five years. Twice I made all the arrangements myself, with some difficulty, but on the last two occasions I used this travel agency. I have nothing but praise. and will use it again. The manager is friendly, competent and efficient, and found cheap quality hotels in Europe which I'd not have been able to find for myself.

I always feel that I am exclusive and am never rushed as would be the case in the so called chain type agencies where staff on more interested in quick figures to keep their jobs. So much goes wrong in these cases.
I like the advice that is given regarding visas, airlines and accommodation and this makes travel a stress free experience.
My last trip was extensive to the middle east and Europe this year 2012 but everything went according to plan.

This agency is owned and run by the one person. When we were to go overseas the owner was not well and made several errors with our booking. Our flights were not on the correct day and did not meet up with the tour. The tickets had been purchased 7 months prior, but not checked until 2 weeks before departure which made remedying the situation very difficult and stressful. We ended up having to leave earlier than planned and organising extra time off work, paying for accomodation, meals etc.
