It's like you walk into the home of your Italian friends.
Not so much for the shop, but for the food.
Why go to Italy when you can get it right here?

With our previous experience here not going so well I was apprehensive about returning, but our friends convinced out to give them another try. I will say it has improved slighty. The service was still slow but friendly, the coffee was good and I felt our meals were ok, maybe more average. We did enjoy the pizza and garlic bread, but overall nothing special.

My husband and I met up with friends here for what we thought was going to be a lovely night enoying some fabulous food. Instead we found it to be underwhelming, overpriced and unfriendly. The service was very slow and when we finally received our meals (at different times), one of them was incorrect and then had to wait another 15 minutes, by then everyone had finished eating. I cannot say everything was full of flavour, infact about average. It was a very disappointing get together, which we all had been looking forward to.

We will not be returning.

Approximate cost: $30

fantastic food, value as expected... authentic italian food... i 'd definitely come here again. we each ordered a main and had two sides to share (between two people), also had garlic bread as an entree... it was too much food, we were so full from all that but very yummy. the desserts looked great but just couldnt eat anymore, food came out pretty quickly, but grabbing a waitress or waiter to get our bill took some time.

Approximate cost: $25

If I am feeling like a home cooked Italian meal but don't want to cook it myself, European Cafe is my place of choice. These guys have been here for as long as I can remember and their pizza and pasta is simple but tasty. When busy service is excellent and normally we are too busy chatting to friends that the waiting staff have to come back two to three times before we are ready to place our order.

This is a great family restaurant. Basic Italian menu in a noisy restaurant but they are always busy which is a testament to the honesty of their food. Service is very friendly and they are very welcoming of kids. We dine here once every four months or so with our very young children to get them used to eating out and they are very tolerant of childrens attention spans, timeframes and mess.

The name 'European Cafe' may sound very general, but they specialise in Italian food, and the food is delicious! The ingredients are always fresh, and the flavours are delightful. Make sure you're going to book in advance if you plan on going there on a Friday or Saturday, as they can get very busy. Great service, good value, and absolutely magnificent food! A+
