They have a huge selection of books on hand and I have yet to find a book that they didn't stock!
Although sometimes it can be a bit hard to find quick shipping products.
The books are at really good prices, cheaper than at the usual bookstores I go to!

I have never had a problem with this company as far as ordering and receiving my goods.

They carry a wide range of goods which they source the cheapest and best from everywhere in the world to offer you the best bargains - books, music, health and beauty, games, music and toys.

On ordering your item and paying easily with a card, it's just a matter of sitting back and waiting for it to arrive. I haven't found the time span to be too bad at all, considering where some of these things are coming from.

Once you have been a customer, they send you updates by email of their latest specials and if you nominate what you are interested in, then you'll only receive alerts about these ... such as special Ninjago Lego sets for a reduced cost than the retail stores. These can get a little annoying and I'm sure you could block them if you wanted, but I find them useful.

Only once I've had to email to query an item and I was answered back within the day.

I'm happy with this company and use them regularly.

I have had many dealings with Fishpond.com.au many good and many bad. I have began to wonder if the low prices are worth the wait, but I am patient and if you order in advance than it's not such a big deal.

Most of the items do come from overseas suppliers so it can takes weeks to receive your order. I have found that most items take 4-6 weeks on average and the estimated delivery time is almost always wrong. Than you have to wait another 10 days before you can lodge a claim though in this time your order is usually received.

I ordered 2 books before Christmas (5th Dec) also with the promised delivery before Christmas it's now the 29th and I've still not got my books... Yet I was expecting this even with the promised of delivery before Christmas. It's not really fishpond's fault as Australia does have the second maybe to China's postal system not to mention everything getting stuck in customs... So I recommend ordering in advance if you want items for gifts.

I have always found the value to be excellent, they have a cheaper than amazon guarantee and if you pay more they will credit you the difference plus 10%. I have compared prices with many other sites and always found fishpond to be cheaper they do after all have free postage so maybe you get what you pay for in that respect.

There customer service is not brilliant, they don't always answer emails directly... but I did order a monopoly board game as a Christmas present it arrived within the allotted time but it was damaged, I was able to quickly return the item for an exchange and was quiet surprised when it only took a couple of weeks to receive the replacement. Which was in perfect condition.

Quality is about what you would expect if buying in store, Service is pretty lousy but it's generally no concern as there is usually no need to contact them. Value you exceptional who can knock back free postage but this does mean a wait... Over all I think fishpond is a great company there is just some room for improvement.

second Christmas they have spoiled... I ordered 4 books for nieces and nephews on the 5th of December with the little gift box icon on the listings promising delivery by Christmas, paying slightly more than at The Book Depository because I was told they would arrive in time. i contacted fishpond on the 19th when i noticed two of the items hadnt even reached their warehouse. i requested that they send them express post if they showed up in order to keep their end of the bargain. they refused. And they lied about my promised delivery times. So i returnrd them a copy of my confirmation email and screenshots of the listings on their site refuting their claims. they did not even acknowledge their lies/mistake and instead sent a generic email advising how to cancel the items. By this time it was less than a week til Christmas. They had not even apologised and they dont pay attention to what you say or respond directly to your concerns... it is mostly generic responses which i find extremely ignorant. They have absolutely no regard for their customers, even when they make unnecessary promises they refuse to keep. They literally only apologised after i pointed out that they had neglected to. Ended up spending double in a store to replace the items i could not get when i could have paid less AND received my items from the Book Depository. I had given them another chance as in 2009, an item i purchased for my niece did not show up. turns out although their site said it was in stock it was not... it was actually a discontinued item it was no longer possible to get at all!

They took $780 dollars from our visa card on the day of the order. That was eight weeks ago and nothing has arrived. There is no phone number to ring and they don't return emails. When I tracked the order on their site I found they have changed the delivery date without notice. Despite many emails there has been no contact. It is now even after the changed delivery date so it seems the toys won't even come for Christmas. I don't think it is possible to imagine worse service. They tell lies!

Approximate cost: $780.00

It is now 18/12 and two months since I paid for this lego for my son's Christmas present. It is terrible. They will not answer my emails. It looks like I'll never get the goods or the money. What can I do next.

hi im having the exact same problem - but i found them on facebook and sending msgs through there. the lies dont stop though. ive told them i will being going to the australian federal police. they are online seller only they tell me so cant ring me. so they dont have the above street address 1. misleading their customers, 2. they state .com.au although they are not in Australia 3. they take payment for goods and not deliver them or supply the customer satisfactory service on "lost" items. ive read other reviews that they can deliver books and cds so small parcels seem to get delivered but when you purchase something of alot of value seems to some how get lost??? its a joke a NO ONE should ever buy from them they are a scam!

pauliner, for future reference you can lodge a dispute with the bank through which you have a credit card within 60 working days (you might still be in the timeframe taking into account weekends and public holidays). Make sure you send a copy of all the correspondence.

It is a fairly bad site. Takes ages to deliver, as you never seem to know where it is coming from. Service is never in contact with you. Unfortunate. It is also very expensive.

Approximate cost: $Expensive

I've ordered books and DVD's from them. They come from overseas so your nop getting them anytime soon...give it a month... but the price makes all the difference. A book off the shelf for $18 her will only be about $7 and they have frree delivery

I started shopping on Fishpond years ago because it was the cheapest place to buy Uni Textbooks and one of the only places based in Aus where you could buy Foreign Movies. Since then they have expanded into toys, games, shoes and even kitchenwares. Fishpond is now one of the best places for buying Lego online with deals coming up by the day. Admittedly, you will have to wait a while for delivery (this is definitely something the company has to work on) because they bring the products from suppliers all over the world upon requested, not before.
But still it is a great place to find rare or difficult to find items and you can even sell your old stuff through their very easy to use system.

Really good online site, I have just done my Xmas shopping here and bought lots of cheap ninjargo Lego for my kids. Website very easy to use and navigate and I have already received one item -they normally ship things as they are ready and there is never any delivery fee!

I haven't received any of the $780 of Lego I ordered two months ago and they won't return my emails. You must have been lucky
