Rehomed my dog with them well over a year ago, then found out they hadn't transferred her microchip details. They blamed the National Register people and said they would sort it out. Have just checked with the National Registry again, well over a. year later to find dog is still is my name. Then they never answer their phones or return calls.

The irony of this comment is that you are making a statement about the rescue org. not being responsible in changing the microchip details and taking calls when they took over YOUR responsibility of caring for your furbaby. Good job Furever Friends - it is very lucky society has rescue groups like you

The irony of this comment is that exactly what they were meant to do. Take over the responsibility and they didn't. Unless you actually know the circumstances of why a dog is surrendered, don't judge. Rehoming a dog after its owner has passed away or a sudden posting overseas maybe? They didn't do what they promised and I was not the only one who had this issue. The organisation now has new administration who are awesome. I am not knocking the amazing carers and people who do a wonderful job in caring and rehoming animals. I think they are fantastic.

Furever Friends takes in unwanted animals and cares for them until they find their forever home. It's a truly heartbreaking thing to see how many animals are dumped in Bendigo, but at the same time, looking at all the gorgeous fur babies that they post on all the local facebook pages, and how well looked after they are, is heartwarming. I can't praise them enough. We often donate to them to give them a helping hand. Beautiful.

Approximate cost: $85 for a desexed cat

Wonderful people giving their time to care for and find homeless dogs and cats a forever home. Jess was very helpful and matched us up with the most perfect dog we could ever have wished for, "Brandy". We've loved her very much from day one, and I'm certain she feels the same! Brandy was vet checked, de-sexed and vaccinated.

Furever Friends Bendigo are doing a wonderful thing for pets who need homes.
They foster out and are always looking for foster carers to look after cats, dogs and litters of kittens and puppys.
They are always in need of donations for whatever you can offer. All animals have been vaccinated and vet checked so you get a fresh new pet to take home to love forever or to foster till a home is found.

Furever Friends Bendigo is a great little organisation that takes in cats and dogs and re-homes them into 'furever' families. They are always advertising for foster carers for the animals in their care and happily accept pet food donations, and pet products. They do a great job finding homes for these unwanted animals that would probably otherwise end up strays or at the pound.
