Had a buy one get one free and still thought the waffles were overpriced. They were yummy enough but not wow. and I don't know i just thought the place itself was a bit lacking in ambience. This might be okay for a bunch of teenagers to hit after a movie but for a treat out for the family it was just a bit overpriced for what it was...
I don't like their ice cream it is very dense and doesn't taste like icecream. Movenpick and NZ Icecream are much better and cheaper in the centre. The half price waffles on Tuesday are a good deal though.
I love the ice cream at this place! It just seems to taste better, and the price is also quite appealing too! Honey Malt Crunch, Jamaican Chocolate, and Swiss Caramel Chocolate are my preferred flavours, and I'm never disappointed.
I haven't had the waffles of coffee yet, but after reading the reviews here, I'll have to give them a burl.
Service at the Doncaster store is slow at times, and the set up (where you order vs where you pay) is sometimes confusing for newer punters.

Had it's waffle with ice-cream and creams! Yummy!!! There's variety of choice of ice-creams and low-fat ice-creams.. Will definitely worth to pamper with some sweet treats and will be back definitely~

Ice cream texture is smooth and very stringy. Had my ice-cream on the waffle on half price tuesday with blueberries. Was so good!

Nothing wrong with the product, the ice cream, coffee and waffles are great. There was a special on the night I went where you got a free regular coffee with the purchase of a waffle. It appears the staff are not so enthusiastic about this offer, they questioned me twice as to whether I wanted the coffee citing that it takes them longer to process the order. If it is such a bother, why offer the option to customers?

I dont know much of your experience but I recently went to Gelare at Doncaster and it was actually a pleasant experience. I had a good chat with the staff member that was there at the time and the waffles were to die for! The coffee was particularly smooth and nice. Im there now almost every week!
I agree you cant go wrong on tuesdays - so cheap and you can add the ice-cream on top.
Everyone has a different point of view and experience I guess.
