Hardy's Mitre 10 Mega

Enormous store and hundreds upon hundreds of different items to choose from! Some staff are not that helpful but there are a few very helpful and educated employees that always offer assistance.

Having just moved into new home, these guy's are my best friends at the moment, with lots of little jobs to do. The staff are extremely helpful in advising what to buy, and nothing is too much trouble e.g. cutting lengths of timber etc. They certainly give the big green shed people something to aspire to.

Altho they dont have as much as other hardware stores. I find Mitre 10 pakenham really good, everything is easy to find and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Prices and specials are really good too

Terrific store, great service, great price,s plenty of stuff to look at or buy i go there all the time. I love there plant section always looks lovely

The only mitre 10 I visit for the fact I will always get great service and be able to walk out with what I came for. Value is great too. They are always able to do a cheap deal too.

The customer service has always been pretty good. I like that its smaller than bunnings so you can find your way around. I bought an out door table from there and it was a good on special price and it has last really well so far.

Great store, plenty of staff for customer service & always extremely helpful. Willing to support locals & do a better deal where they can. Always well stocked. Great to the seniors of the area. Have been here many times with even one major purchase being a wood heater with flue which was almost $2000 worth. The staff recommended people from around the area to fit it & loaded & tied it down in my ute for me.

Unbeatable service when compared to Bunnings and other hardware stores. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Pricing is really good too. Massive store with great product range. Heaps of parking available - easy to get in and out quickly.

The customer service is best I've ever recieved from a hardware store of this size! I used to live in Box Hill where the Bunnings there is the best in the country but Hardy's Mitre 10 Mega has them beat, incredible servive, great specials (not cheap crap), seem to have plenty of stock of everything, overall a fantastic shopping experience

Bought a water tank, pump, and all the fittings and pipe.
Service was amazing, helped step by step on how to install tank, told best surface to put it on, helped me with best place to position pump and how to run pipe from gutter into tank.

I was really happy with the fact that there was no bullshiting, when going through their huge range of pumps. I was shown for what I'm doing (watering the garden, washing car) the pumps that would be perfect. He went through the issues I'll face if I don't install properly and how to dodge them. Took great interest in what I was about to attempt, and the advice given was fantastic.

I've shopped there for years but this is just a great example, this was over a month ago and everything is running great. Since been back for other bits and pieces with the same brilliant service I've come to expect from Pakenham Mitre 10 and they've never dissapointed on it.

Hot Water System. Old Electric Hot water service decided to Quit one morning. I Went to Mitre 10 and they had the exact Make and Model of Hot water service that I required. Took it home with me and had it installed on the same day. Excellent Price and Service. Staff extremely helpful.

We have bought many items whilst building our new home at Mitre 10 the trades people there are very friendly and approachable and extremely helpful, great local people and products.

I've just moved to Nar Nar Goon from Narre Warren and have pretty much shopped at Bunnings Warehouse stores for the last 15 years until earlier this when I drove past the Pakenham Mitre10 Mega. Just the outside of the store looked impressive, I got home and told the missus we were going to give them a try. The whole place seems to full of helpful staff that are more than happy to spend time with you. I dealt with one of the young guys, Michael who walked me around the entire store from tools to gardening to the plumbing and much to my wife's amazement he knew exactly where everything was. He really showed interest in the jobs we were about to attempt to do and gave some great advice. My wife and I have since been back, while Michael was with another customer, one of his colleagues saw us and came straight over to help us out with what we'd come in for, he was just as pleasant to deal with (I'm not sure of his name as he didn't have a name tag). Once we'd finished with everything we'd come in for we actually just walked around looking at the bargains, we were still approached by four or five different staff members asking if we needed help. I don't I'm going to bother with Bunnings again as being treated like a proper person is much better than what Bunnings has to offer. Well done Mitre 10 Mega Pakenham you've won over two more loyal customers.

Big sized store, customer service is amazing, range is great it seems that they really keep and cheap, nasty products. I like the fact that they have the 10% lower price beat so you know they've cheapest prices. There is a couple of cute guys working in there, everyone seems to be friendly and happy to help.

A D.I.Y. paradise, been here a few times got everything you'd need for little jobs around the home, customer service is fantastic will be asked for help about four or five times, staff are really friendly and knowledgeable.

GREAT, if I could give 6 stars then I would. I normally get served by Frank, Travis and Trevor. These three give the best customer service I ever come across, they know they're stuff and nothing is too much of an issue. Don't get me wrong there is probably 80 odd staff in the marvallous place just as good as the last. There just seems to be a completely different culture between the two (Mitre 10 MEGA and Bunnings). Don't be sucked in by Bunnings marketing, these guys are the cheapest.

The customer service is brilliant they have a drive thru Timber Department which has a smiling team five or six standing there waiting to serve, as soon as I'm out of the car there is some there to help me. The power tools and hardware aisles are full of staff, never too busy to give me a hand. Always full of stock never been in there and they've been out of anything. But the best part is that they know what they are talking about, and are by far the cheapest in town the store always clean and tidy which is a change from other hardware stores of its size, paying for what I pick up is easy too, there is never a line at the Trade/Plumbing counters. I don't understand WHY you'd shop anywhere else?‎

Drove into Mitre 10 through their drive thru Timber Department, I was after 20 bags of cement as soon as I left my car I was approached by a young bloke Travis who asked me how many bags I would be needing I told him I'd need twenty. As we were loading them in another two guys came over and asked Travis how many bags needed to be loaded and picked up a bag each and helped, customer service was excellent I told him all about how Bunnings had treated me, (I'd just come down from Bunnings Pakenham where I had received the worst customer service ever) he told that he hears a lot of stories like mine. Overall Mitre 10 Mega Pakenham wins hands down

I went there looking for plumbing supplies for home diy and found there service really good. Good range and prices where okay.
Other hardware stores did not have anything like the range that this store had. It was Sunday and many other stores with plumbing supplies are not open that day, well done Mitre 10 Pakenham.

I was building a deck I had the measurements of what I wanted the deck to be but I wasn't 100% sure how to go about it, I walked around the store looking for the timber but couldn't find it, I must have looked very lost as a lady came over and asked if I needed a hand, turns out I was at the wrong end of the store so she told where all the timber was so I walked out and was met with three or four young blokes basically running over to me to serve me (made me feel special HA), I told him what I wanted to do, the kid was probably only about 17 or 18 but he had a lot of knowledge he asked what i wanted to use on the deck treated pine or merbau, how high I wanted the even what size of boards, I said I wasn't 100% sure how much I needed so we went to his office as he called and we spent a good 2 or 3 minutes working out what would do the best, while being cheap (I didn't want to spend alot of money), he then helped with with all my nails and bolts and help put all the timber on my trailer.

I was back again on the weekend this time was still met with the same enthusiasm this time I wanted to make a bench (cheapy again) so once again we worked out how much I needed, turned out I needed a sheet cut in half, the local Bunnings charge $1.50 per sheet cut, the bloke said "Nope, we don't charge for cutting", so once again I got help being taken into the shop and helped with what nails I needed and screws which would best suit the bench, at this point it had started raining so he told me "not to worry we'll wrap the sheet in plastic" then again help me into the trailer.

Great experience would recommend to anyone.!

They run a DIY night a couple of times a year which are great to go to, you learn heaps & you get a free feed and beers and a chance to win some great prizes.
Staff there are friendly and down to earth and knowledgable

I went along there by chance one day. I was looking for a number of things, and it was a new place to me so didn't know where anything was. I had a number of friendly encounters with the staff, all really helpful, it was so refreshing to be asked if I needed assistance at a hardware store. Most of the time at the big stores you have to track someone down to get any assistance. I've since been back and had the same experience.

Mitre 10 in our opinion is the place to go when you need something for the home or garden. The staff there are very helpful and informative and nothing is too much trouble for them no matter how busy they may be.
