When I go out with firends to the Cross, I will always try to go home via the lower road to go past and stop at Harrys. They have the very best pies, but they are always a welcome treat after clubbing and dancing.
Very fast, Friendly service and lots to look at on the walls while you eat.
This place is a tourist attraction in Sydney.
A little caravan style pie and hot dog shop.
The mashy peas and cheese sauce are a winner on top of any pie or hot dog.
No seating so you buy and stand and eat but it's all part of the experience.
been going to it for 20 years the food is great especially after a late nightband feeling little hungry have great pies with peas mashed potatoes
Approximate cost: $5
There's no other experience in pies like it, pies with beef, chicken, or with mash and mushy peas, it's all very nice.
Approximate cost: $Reasonable
Great reivew. I remember going there with my husband after he had finished playing hig gigs. You see lots of people there with dinner suits on enjoying the great pies after a night out. A real icon of Sydney,
I love Chicken and mushroom pie.
That's my favorite. so yummy
Don't just eat only hot dog, should order with that pie :-)
I don't agree with the reviews. I find all their food pretty disgusting especially their pies. Not a fan!
Fantastic venue. It's always great to meet friends at Harry's and grab a pie. The photo's on the wall are also great to look through
I like their pies and hotdog. very cheap and yummy. friendly staff and convenient place and long business hours make us happier all the time.
The pies and hotdogs are superb. They are open til late and offer great pies and hotdogs. THis is superb
Approximate cost: $14
My favourite place for hot dogs! I especially love the Hot Dog de Wheels and have been getting that same hot dogs for many years now. Always nice and fresh, and quite cheap. Great hangout during late-night weekends. I think they have recently opened up another store in Parramatta as well.
Approximate cost: $Around $7 I think?
Look i won't say the product is of amazing high quality, but its the best thing after a night out! Oh just getting a pie with the lot mushy peas, gravy, mash & sauce or a hot dog is awesome. Heaps of ppl, and glad they open till late. Parking can be a problem, or if you line up & they run out of what you would order ! Seen that happen before. Its the spot after 1am!
Approximate cost: $10
Read about them on WOMOW. Went and was pleasantly surprised. Pies were very yummy and filling but abit messy to eat. View was nice, next to the waters/harbour and lots of birds to keep you company too. Would go again for a quick bite, next time might try their hot dog.
Approximate cost: $6
I have found this site at WOMOW. This is the place to grab a bite after hours, good after going out with friends for a few drinks in the city or the cross. The prices are reasonable and they offer some Australian classics such as tiger pies (pies with mash potatoes and green peas). 5- 6 dollars will get you a nice serve. They also offer chili dogs and pastries. It looks like the place is a classic and has been around for decades.
Approximate cost: $6
It was a very very nice dining experience, Pleasant. I was recommended by a colleague, we did not regret this visit. Location is superb, great for diners. The visit was worth every cent.
Enjoy their hot-dog.
THE BEST HOTDOGS IN SYDNEY!!!! I love their Hot Dog de Wheels. Everyone in Sydney should go to Harry's at least once! Not too worried about the service, seating, etc. I just go there for the hotdogs.
if you like fast food and you are having a stroll from Kings Cross to the Navy shipyard, then this is the place to stop for a snack and drink. their famous hot dog and mashed pea with chilli sauce is worth trying out.
Approximate cost: $6
I went to Harry's for the first time last week.
I definitely enjoyed my pie and coffee.
I do think they need some seating.
The staff were friendly.
My only complaint was that they had a staff member who had absolutely no idea what she was doing. She gave my friend who is a vegetarian a meat pie, she gave me a completely different order and then the guy next to us was given incorrect change and her english was very poor.
It made our experience not as good as id hoped for!
i think this place has gone down hill a lot, it used to nice and worth the traveling time to get here but the food isn't that great anymore and the staff just seem so rude, they could do with a few chair outside so people can sit instead of standing
Approximate cost: $6
i love the hot dogs but they could do with some extra seating!~~!~ i hate eating my hot dog and having to watch over the dirty water with rats running around!!
Excellent pies served at Harrys de wheel. The best thing about this store is that it is open really late so if your out or feel like a snack early in the morning you just need to take a quick drive down.
Approximate cost: $7
word of mouth, i visit Harry's Cafe De Wheels, Woolloomooloo. Just to find out if its true, and yes it was, the pies are mouth watering, the staff are friendly and matter of fact i'm taken my family there this weekend.
Approximate cost: $4
I love harry's tiger pie, it is amazing. they have a huge variety and the best view to eat a pie in sydney. The price is very competative and the product is very filling.
Approximate cost: $5
excellent rating and food
..we live nearby so we usually go there, its always relaxing to sit next to the sydney harbour and enjoy the freshly made pies,i just love the way they add mash potatoes and creamy green peas or something, its just amazing and delicious yumm
We often go here with overseas visitors as it is known as an institution. However we often leave slightly disappointed. For some reason the pies never live up to the hype. Although it is still a great tourist attraction
The food is good but don't really see the hype. The portion is decent but not really value for money. Good snack on the run. Very popular with tourists.
The worst pies you will ever eat. It just goes to show how pathetic most people are that just because a celebrity or two have been photographed getting pies there after a big night out (and lets face it after a big night out we will eat almost anything) everyone wants to eat there, tell their friends and claim it was really good.
What an institution this place is! A real Australian icon it's been there forever and I hope it remains there forever! The pies are tasty and such great value, I can't go past the chili sauce.
A classic must visit for anyone living or visiting Sydney. Fun and easy. The pie floaters are great value and very satisfying as you often feel like more than 1 pie but 2 is just too much pastry so the floater makes perfect sense a pie and extra topping of your choice. The hot dogs are good too. Very hard to find hot dog sellers especially one whose quality you trust in Sydney so go Harry's!
Limited menu but great toppings. The perfect food after a visit to the pub. There's always a line up but service is fast. Little tip: try to have the exact change.
Classic Sydney icon. Usually bring my friends from overseas here. The hotdog de wheels with the chilli is great or the pies with the mushy pieces. Really fills you up for cheap!
Approximate cost: $6
