John and the team at Herdsman Auto Service have responded with skill and integrity to my family's needs for several decades. John is both honest and accurate in his diagnosis of any problems with our cars and always rings first to consult about any emergent problems he finds during a routine car service. He goes the extra yard to help out. This small business provides supportive, 'straight-down-the line' quality service that would be difficult to find in larger auto care services. Highly recommended.
I took my car in for service, it came back damaged! 2 new deep windscreen chips even sides of the middle, clearly from a tool or equipment.
I rang John to discuss, he was unreasonable, in denial, refused to even look at the car if I brought it in. I mentioned I had been sent a link for review, he was leaving me no option but to post a negative one, he didn't care... as he hung up on me. ☹️

Hi Claudette, your car did not recieve any damage whatsoever while it was here being serviced and I actually do care but in this instance you were being completely unreasonable. We noted on the service report, to which you refered when you called, that there are stone chips in the windscreen (amougst other defects and faults requiring attention) The vehicle is from 2006 and has stone chips in other areas across the front of it and who knows how old the windscreen is and how long the stone chips have been there .. your review and comments are completely unwarranted.
I took my Renault Koleos to Herdsman Auto Service when a warning light appeared "fuel injection fault" - they claim they checked it out, charged me $110, went straight home and the vehicle sat in my garage for the next 3 days. I took it out on the fourth day, within a km of home the light came on again. I immediately went back to Herdsman Auto Service - they claimed they couldn't do any more and I would need to take it to Renault. Did so only to find out there was a major fuel leak - how did Herdsmen miss this??? I rang Herdsman and suggested a refund of the $110 they charged, they said there wasn't a fuel leak at the time - so what, the fuel leak developed in the 3 days it sat in my garage?? I don't think so - they missed it - won't refund my money, so they have lost a customer forever. Would even have been happy if they refunded half as a goodwill gesture - bad customer service I think!!
