After organising a retirement function for a dear colleague last weekend, I had to let others know how amazing Iona, the functions manager and her staff are at the Hervey Bay Golf Club. Their willingness and professionalism is second to none and certainly made the whole process of planning the evening so easy for us. The room looked amazing and the food was delicious and in abundance. The staff could not do enough to help. Iona even organised for their courtesy bus driver to go and pick up a lecturn for the speeches at a minutes notice from the RSL! Who else would do that in Hervey Bay? Every one of the guests we spoke to complimented us on the party, noting in particular the staff and the food. Anyone considering a function should go and meet Iona....I am sure you will not be dissapointed.

Great customer service friendly and polite food wasn't so good chicken Schnitzel was rubbery and hard to cut and everyone I was with said the food wasn't as good as it use to be especially for $20 a meal wasn't that bad just not worth what it cost

I went to the Golf Club with group of 8 people for lunch on the weekday. They have a variety of lunch deals less than $10 per meal and portion sizes are relatively generous. The quality is pretty good considering the money we pay for these deals. For example, the steak I had was soft enough and I like the fact that we can choose different sauces to go onto it. One thing that slightly let us down on the day was the time it took for us to make the order and for the meals to arrive was quite long, considering that we booked to come for lunch. But otherwise, it is a good place to have a bargain 'pub' meal there if you aren't in a hurry to go anywhere.

We had a our wedding reception at the Golf Club and have also regularly been to dinner there. They provide fantastic great priced meal with a friendly, family atmosphere. The kids are happy to play the skill tester machines, while hubby enjoys a dabble on the pokies. Their service has always been awesome and the facilities are modern and relaxed. I would totally recommend this venue for a wedding reception. The buffet they made for us was second to none and they went out of their way to make sure our whole night was perfect!!!

i have attended functions here and the place does a great job at accommodating functions. great environment lovely staff and well maintained bar area. the grounds of the course are so clean and tidy. The food was great and well portioned, as it was a function i can't say if prices are god. 4/5

Another great place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine and a great tasting fresh meal- of course have a game of golf too - I'm not a golfer BUT I love this place to catch up with friends and colleagues -menu is varied - great environment - very fresh and relaxed- prices are good - kids welcome BUT I feel the place is more for adults because kids need to be kids- a very easy to get to place- easy parking- a quiet venue most times too - so good for talking business lol - DEFINATELY put on your list of places to dine - & to have a game of golf -
