A friend recommended me to try this cafe. I ordered the beef lasagna and the portion was generous. Wish there were more salads by the side though to balance the meal out. Shame the shop doesn't have air-conditioning so it was quite hot to dine in the cafe during summer. Will try other meals next time when the weather is a little cooler.

I ordered the lorraine quiche at this shop while catching up with a friend over brunch. The quiche was very filling and reasonably priced. They also have other sandwiches and wraps which I am looking forward to try next time. One of the best things is that the shop is located at the shopping village near supermarket so I get to do my groceries shopping at the same time.

I go to this shop every time I go back to Brisbane. i.e. pretty much every 2-3 weeks. Not only are their ramen noodles are one of the best in Queensland, but their dumplings are so delicious and cheap (half price for almost the last year or so). The discounted dumplings are only available in the Garden City shop but not the other 2 in Market Square and Sunnybank Plaza. However, since the place is quite space-limited and extremely popular, I have had to wait for about 15 minutes during peak hours (meal times). On another note, you get to eat a free ramen noodles on your birthday by showing your photo ID. Bargain!

A friend recommended this place to me - it is very adequate lighting, making me feel welcome. The meals there are very affordable and mouth-watering at the same time. The service is polite and timely, layout is simple yet pleasant. My favourites are the dumplings and sweet and sour pork. The meals have fair bit of vegetables and quite a few non-deep fried options - perfect for food loves!

It may not be the healthiest vegetarian cafe in Brisbane, but is one that is definitely worth to try. The mock meats are highly processed so they are probably not nutritious as such. But I really enjoyed the 3-meat bento box as it comes with a fair few vegies & salad. The staff are friendly and prices are no doubt affordable.

This is a simple cafe that has just been renovated and reopened at the end of 2013. The cafe menu offers tasty, fresh and reasonably priced lunch meals. The surrounding has about 10 Bali style huts which make you feel like you're in paradise. You can dine under the hut which gives adequate shades and feel the nice breeze during summer. Inside the cafe, they also sell a few items such as teapots which look very pretty and special. It is a must-visit place if anyone goes to Hervey Bay.

I have been to this cafe quite a few times. I usually order the chicken teriyaki or eel with rice, rather than most of the other deep fried options. Unfortunately, the eel is not always available probably due to its popularity (that everyone orders it too). The set meals often come with a small bowl of miso soup which is quite authentic. However, there aren't much greens in the meal - only a couple of slices of cucumber, plus a few corn kernels and 1 shredded lettuce. Beverage wise, the drink varieties are endless and I would suggest one to try one called Memories which is a sweet milk tea if they have a sweet tooth.

Approximate cost: $10-14

My family and I dropped by to this cafe for lunch after we went to Tin Cay Bay to feed the dolphins. We chose this place over others because of the numerous options on the menu and the reasonable prices for the meals. Between the 3 of us, we only ordered 2 meals - the beef burger & chips, and the roasted pumpkin pizza. All came to just under $30 and we were more than satisfied. Service was a little slower than expected but I guess that could be due to many eager & hungry customers waiting to be served at the same time!

This review is for Hazel Tea Shop, Sunnybank QLD

Hazel tea shop is an alternative milk tea shop to Easyway in Sunnybank plaza, making others who work on the other side of the shopping centre easier to access flavoured milk tea. My favourite is the black sesame seed one. You can ask for less sugar if preferred so the drink is less sweet and more healthy/nutritious that way. The downside is that the shop is a bit too small to accommodate many customers, so it is not the perfect location to catch up over a big group of friends. But can definitely order take away and enjoy it else where such as the food court.

I tried their first-time monthly Native High Tea (which is now on the last Sunday of the month) dining experience yesterday with a few other friends. We paid $35 per person which is about the same price as other similar high tea places around the area (e.g. South Bank). The high tea included (from my memory) - scones with rosella jam and cream, Profiteroles filled with mango sauce topped with dark chocolate sauce, fairy cakes, and 3 types of finger sandwiches -Anisata salmon gravlax, goats curd and lillputs, Bush tomato relish and kangaroo mini burgers, and crocodile meat. I ordered the 'Kangaroo Chai' as my tea selection and asked for milk with it. I think there were too much milk in the teapot though so I couldn't really taste the real 'Kangaroo Chai' flavour. Would have been good to have the milk served separately so that I can taste the tea plain first.
