OMG!!!!! Dreadful. We placed an order online a few days again and chose a delivery day and time. The delivery day was yesterday, I have been trying to call them, it is basically impossible! I have tried 3 times today and been on hold more than 40 minutes each time and was also disconnected. I am now giving it one last try today. Where is my order, why don't you answer the phone. I don't have the time to spare just sitting here listening to hold music all day. I feel sorry for anyone trying to call from work because it just wouldn't be possible. They obviously need to employ more people to man the phones. And this experience has really put me OFFFF ordering online from them again. Don't bother.

So frustrating. It really becomes quite horrible when there is no action to help solve the problem.

When you enter the Ikea store they have a stand with a map, do yourself a favour and take one with you! (A hint I wish I had got before my first trip there)
The store is massive, and it took us almost as long to find our way out as it did for me to buy a trolley full of great, quality bargain priced home decor items!
I bought everything from towels to glasses, a bed, candle holders, vases, garbage bins, cushions and a toy snake for the kids!
We all loved the kids section, and I got a great kids baking set complete with chef hat.
Ikea had such a great diverse range of products and they were so cheap compared to the prices you can pay elsewhere we bought a queen size bed for $49!
Being right outside the airport is super convenient also.

Approximate cost: $cheap

Ikea Adelaide has gone to the dogs!

I used to love coming here. The furniture was cheaper than other places, and decent quality too. And the food was always cheap, a bit silly, but good value and fun to eat.

Fast forward a few years, and I went back to Ikea with a friend. I was so surprised at the lustureless presentation of the goods, the inflated prices, and the grooosssss food.
The highlight was the hard as a rock dinner roll that I bought with my meal, that was so hilariously solid I couldn't cut it open. I returned it, just to tell the attendant the rolls were stale, and he didn't even look at me, just gave me a refund. Which wasn't the point.
He didn't tell the kitchen staff to change the rolls or anything... five star service! Haha.

i have been here a few times, i find the 'maze' a bit too messy. I have trouble looking for things I want, and the prices of goods have gone up over the last couple of years. The quality of the furniture isn't that good either. I do love their designs though, i think they are creative and look classy. the cafe at store is not my type of food, the food was very bland - yes cheap, but not tasty at all.

I have to agree here. I'm not too sure what all the hype is about with Ikea, their furniture isnt the best quality however it is quite expensive compared to other stores!

This review pertains to the cafe/restaraunt part of IKEA. I'd long ago resolved never to eat at IKEA following a brush with their $1 hot dog (with innovatively designed paper bun and particleboard filled sausage casing)...but my husband and I were in a rush and he convinced me to grab something from the restaraunt.

He ordered the horseb...I mean meatballs and I ordered the salmon. I know. Cue Jim Diamond's "Shoulda known better". It was my own fault.

So I was sick later that afternoon and all the next day. Fortunately for me my trips to the bathroom were made slightly more enjoyable due to the lovely swedish decor pieces in the bathroom.

I-I-I-I-I-I Shoulda Known Better....

Approximate cost: $7.90

I love going to ikea....always go for a look and come home with a dozen things! Great for interior design ideas and very well priced! I like the fact that you can shop and then grab a meal in there cafeteria.

A visit here can be short sharp and shiny if you know what you're after, or, you could spend half a day there with the hole family. They have a HUGE indoor play are for kids 6 and under and give parents a pager if thy are needed whilst shopping unencumbered. Ikea have a great self serve eatery with really cheap meal specials. I've noticed many people go ther just for breakfast so it can be hard to find a car park!

Approximate cost: $30

I visited looking for a basic pantry cupboard the only solution they could offer was over 3 times the price of other businesses.

they have interesting home-wares that can be quite good value for small items.

The restaurant is basic and cheap. the food I had "barramundi" that clearly was not barramundi this was disappointing but not surprising.

If they had just called it fish I think it would have at least been honest

A great place for good quality kitchen glassware at cheap prices, a good selection of pot plants, candles and home wares. The furniture is nice but can often be quite expensive and you have to put it together yourself. The food hall has a range of foods at cheap prices. The meatballs are a hit in our house they also offer a hot-dog and drink for $1.50!
