I really love the service and the hair cut I did in Jacob Hair Salon. The manager there was nice and has helped me to design and cut a really nice hair, good refreshing Korean style. My hair was originally really damaged by myself breaching, but they helped me to recover it as well. I was really satisfy and give the credit to them =) I will definitely come back for next time.

Jacob and the hair assistant worked wonders on my hair. I opted to cut a large portion of hair for a change and have never felt better. I also got my hair permanently straightened with the shiseido method and it definitely works wonders on frizzy/curly hair that I haven't felt this confident before!! (Its a long routine but definitely book an appointment, its worth the time!!)

Didn't make a booking, just showed up. Wait time was 30mins, which was fine. They cut my husband's hair first. The manager specialises in women's hair, the woman in men's only. Which is a bit odd. He was ok with it but it was quite pricey for a standard men's cut. My hair is short and the cut was $35, no wash or blow, just the cut. Hair turned out ok, wasn't perfect but he blamed it on my previous hairdresser that she had thinned it too much. It was all generally ok but for those prices value for money is questionable.

The salon itself, is rather spacious and nicely decorated but the services provided by the manager and his team of staff are rather disappointing. It appears that there is only one skillful hairdresser at the salon who happens to be the manager as well and he does everything so he can be all over the place and often, forgetting what he has to do for each client. His staff were rather rude and didn't appear to be very skillful either. I was fortunate enough to have my hair entirely done by him but it took him a while to do that. Having said all of the above, my cut and color turned out okay.

Jacob is quite a good hairdresser. But he gets so busy sometimes and his staff are quite unhelpful at times, he just runs around doing a lot of things and forget to do other stuff. If you need a quick cut, don't bother booking, you end up waiting around for him to be free anyway.

I heard about this new hairdresser from the promotion banner I drove past which read, 'Opening Special $25 haircuts'. Initially did not have their phone number so I just walked in to enquire about booking an appointment. He just told me to come back the next day, I had to prompt him about whether the time was suitable. I also had to ask him to write down my details. Otherwise my booking would not have been recorded at all. I turned up for the booking, but had to wait about 30-45 minutes which I was not happy about. This was about 6pm. There was only one male hairdresser and he had one female assistant helping with washing hair etc. I am unsure if this was the usual set up, but he did seem understaffed. He is a nice and friendly guy, and the cut was good too. The only thing that was not satisfactory was the waiting time, despite having had made a booking.

Approximate cost: $30
