I attended a recent family funeral service and Jacqui was the celebrant. As someone who is involved in a similar industry, I was so impressed at the way Jacqui conducted the service. It was her personal warmth and genuine concern for everyone at the service that was so remarkable. In her own unique way, she not only gave a lovely tribute to the person who had passed, but also addressed the grieving and loss that everyone in the chapel was feeling. She tried to give some clarity and understanding to a very difficult and emotional situation. But above all, she reinforced the eternal love of the person who had passed and gave hope and inspiration to those left behind. Unfortunately, I have been to many funerals over the years, but Jacqui's approach and honest commitment to her work made her stand out from all the others. I would highly recommend Jacqui to anyone who is in need of her services.

The world stopped for me and my family when my son Marcus died. Even breathing was hard to take. Let alone arrange his farewell.
Luckily, a special person came into our lives, Jacqui Chaplin, and she helped us give Marcus the send off he deserved. Her openness and empathy warmed our hearts and gave us confidence and strength every step of the way on our saddest day. Our grateful thanks to you Jacqui.

My husband was taken from us suddenly and unexpectedly. One of the most difficult things I've ever had to do emotionally was to organise his funeral. It was extremely important to my sons and I that that we respected what he would have wanted but also balanced that with a fitting tribute to the man we knew and loved. Jacqui was wonderful. She guided us with empathy and understanding and was able to help us work out what we wanted and needed from the day. The service was beautiful and just right for my husband, family and friends. Thanks for helping and supporting us through this very difficult time Jacqui.

Jacqui was simply wonderful. We had no idea what a funeral for a baby should be like. Jacqui talked us through the process. She took what we wanted to include, made suggestions and ended up writing a beautiful service tailored to us. It was great to have a celebrant as competent and organized as Jacqui, because having such confidence in her, meant that we could just focus on the most important thing on the day; saying goodbye to our son. When the funeral director at Selwyn Allan asked us who we wanted as a celebrant, we just said ‘give us whoever is the best’, and we think that is what we got in Jacqui, the best.
