There are not many choices for Indonesian food in Brisbane. If you haven't tried Indonesian food, it is pretty simple, but really delicious and this place serves great authentic food.

Expect to pay around $15 for a meal.

Went here last week on an impulse. Had to hunt down a waitress to ask for a table, then had to wait for a long time to get our orders taken. The staff seemed good, just not enough of them.

We ordered the rendang beef (medium hot) and the mi goreng, both were very good with the rendang having the perfect amount of hum of chilli.

Aside from the understaffing issue it was a great night.

This place is nicely decorated with batik cloth. An added bonus - it also sells a limited range of Indonesian groceries. Had mixed entree which contained 4 items, the perkedel kentang (potato fritters) and bakwan udang (vege fritters) were the highlights. For main ordered nasi campur (picked this cos it allows you to sample 3 different dishes), nasi goreng and terong bali (eggplant in balinese sauce). Out of these the eggplant was the standout - very tasty; the other dishes were okay too but definitely no wow factor.

Approximate cost: $~12

Nice authentic Indonesian Restaurant. This is a fine dining venue - not a casual walk in restaurant. Price is around $15 - $20 per dish, which you can share.

Booking is best to make sure you get a table. Excellent service and we had the restaurant owner chat with us after our dining to ensure everything was served well.

If you like seafood, try the 'Udang Goreng Mentega' (i.e. prawn with butter and special sauce) or the 'Ikan Bakar' (i.e. Grilled Fish) - big portion tho! Succulent!

Approximate cost: $15

Always a must in Brisbane. We love the authentic food, prices are reasonable, BYO is a definite plus. Our favourite- the lamb satays and the ikan goreng. We've introduced many others and all have loved it.

They got a lot of choice of Indonesian cuisine. Starters were excellent, and the mains were delicious. Desserts were nice. The downside is that the price is a little expensive. Parking in this area also a bit difficult. They have a private parking at the back but it seems to always full quickly.
