John Azzi is an Absolute GENIUS!
He looks at you and knows exactly what to do without you saying how you want your hair. A true professional.
Being the Genius he is, he is also in great demand therefore you need an appointment if you want him to do his magic on your hair and that also means that you need to have time on your hands because he is very very busy.
I wish I had the opportunity to go to him every week!
I highly recommend him to all my family & friends and I wouldn't be put off by some of the reviews.
At the end of the day if you want quality you must be prepared to spend time at the salon to wait for the genius & you must be prepared to pay a little more.
This is not a salon of bargain bogans!

I booked using a Groupon voucher bought for 100 for a 400 keratin hair trearment. Bad move on my part,my hair has been burnt there is no way back from this and they don't answer my emails
I cannot stress high enough how bad experience was..
I arrived was sent to a wash basin, where my hair was washed, as well as the inside of my ear and my left eye, not once but constantly. The water was cold, not pleasant.
The a lot of product was applied to my hair and I was told it needed to stay in for 30min.
Then a hair dryer was waved at my head, to dry the hair. Unfortunately she concentrated on one spot mainly and burnt my scalp in the same spot twice in the process.
The an iron was applied to my hair. There was a lot of smoke. The iron was held it one spot for a good 5-10 sec before being very slowly dragged through my hair . I could feel it tagging on the iron. Then again my scalp got burnt this time by the iron.
This went on for a good 1/2 hour. Just before I was finished another member of staff came over and told me that some cases blonde hair could discolour in the process. I asked why I was not advised of this earlier and she replied ' its in the fine print. What fine print ??
After the ironing was done the same person came over and told me I was finished, I said but I cant be I cant go out looking like this with all the product still in my hair. I was then told I could pay an extra $40 to have my hair washed and another product applied "to close the cuticles" At that stage as I said I had no choice as I could not go out in public as I was, especially out to dinner as I had planned.
They washed my hair, during which I suggested that perhaps it would be good practice to explain the extra costs and possibility of discolouration at the beginning when the client arrived, she replied, "we tried they don't understand us", then dried it off (not a Blow Dry) it was messy felt like straw and had turned a brassy blonde colour.
She then asked"are you happy now?" I replied no, my hair is discoloured and not even dried properly
She proceeded to yell at me saying, a Blow dry isn't included, you should feel lucky, we should have charged you more etc etc
This carried on right until I got onto the lift to leave
End result, My hair was discoloured during the process, it feels like straw its breaking off at the ends, its frizzy and they say the value of this service is400 dollars !! its going to cost me more to try and rectify the situation
Having spoken to other hairdressers since, I believe the staff have not been properly trained in how to apply the product and especially how to use an iron.
I have asked politely to have my colour fixed and was told it would be 80, I wish I had read the other reviews beforehand as it was definately not a positive outcome. And not how a keratin treatment should end up, my hair does not look like I had this treatment done( when done correctly). My hair is now in very bad condition
I approached them several times to rectify the situation to no avail.

I got a voucher online, went in pretty nervous after reading some terrible reviews, but I was seated right away, they brought me a proper coffee. Sophie, my stylist, was really lovely and the colour was the best I've had in a long time (full head of blonde foils, looks very natural). The shampoo/treatment wasn't too great, but I liked the cut and the styling at the end. Don't be put off by bad reviews, I had a great experience here.

Bought an online voucher and went to the Mosman salon. quick attentive service sat me down and offered me a drink, the hairdresser was doing somebody else's hair but she came over and introduced herself and said she would be a few minutes which is fine. She advised after my foils I may need a toner and would have to pay extra for this - I have never been charged extra for a toner and have had foils about 6 times now, mind you the toner was only on for a few minutes so not sure why it costs that much extra, however I was advised so it wasn't a sneaky charge at the end. I was really disappointed in the hair wash as she only washed the top and sides of my head and left the back, so by the time the foils and then the toner had to come out they were only rinsed, so I left the salon with this awful sticky dry hair at the back of my head, which I'm sure they were aware of when blow drying and running the straightening irons through it, the irons couldn't do their job properly as the hair was sticking - but guess it was a bit late then to start washing again. I was going to mention it when she was washing but surely I don't have to tell a senior hairdresser how to wash my hair. For voucher value it was fine, but I wouldn't pay $465 for that experience

I had a fantastic colour, cut and lovely blow dry from Sara @ John Azzi and have received heaps of compliments however it took 3 hours for all of that means I won't be going there for a regular visit but more of a weekend treat when I have the time. One major let down was the lady who washed the hair and gave me the head massages. It was literally pouring water into my ears and the “head massages” was more like putting her fingers through my hair for 3 minutes.
Happy with the outcome and quality (of the actual hair) but not the service.
Will return but won't be a regular for sure.

Thanks for the warning about the long time it takes. I will be booking for an early appointment on a day with no other commitments after.

They are having an amazing offer right now: it's only $49 instead of $100, so, we're saving $51..Wow. And they're pretty famous masters and that's a very trendy place. Shame to miss.

Was very happy with how my hair turned out but had it took 4 hours which was a total nightmare. I know that they were down 2 staff-but it was still unbelievably frustrating. Especially seeing people come in after me and be finished before me.

Approximate cost: $200

That's a very long time for what should be a short service!

An excellent hairdresser. Jon is the only hairdresser I know who knows exactly what type of hairstyle suits each person and does things in great detail so the quality is top. It is on the expensive side but staff are very friendly and treat you like royalty

Approximate cost: $100

I look forward to coming here soon for a Keratin treatment. Hopefully it'll be as good an experience as what you had.
