Have been with my wife - nice food. Didn't have to book.
Tried to book for whole family. Hopeless. After three phone calls and promises of calling back never happened.
Don't waste your time.
We ended up at our local sports club. Booked straight away and had a la carte menu without the hassles of parking and for a fraction of the cost.

Located at Crown, Kitchen workshop has been renovated recently and advertised as the best value and quality buffet in town. Open 7 days, lunch for $22.90 and dinner $29.90. Crown signature members can add $10 for additional seafood (prawn or oysters). Don't compare with Melba or Conservotory, you get what you pay for. I was impressed with the varieties of food, which are all of a reasonable standard if not top notch.

Popular buffet on the floor of a casino offering a carving station & an open pastry kitchen. Really nice selection and really nice food. the unlimited soft drink is a nice addition, too. I must say this place is one of the nicest places in Melbourne to eat at, especially for dinner. Amazing food, amazing chefs.

For where it is you would expect this place to be really expensive but it's not for around $20 you get a buffet menu so get to go up and choose what you want to eat and if you want more you just go up and get it. Some come with an empty tummy for a good feed.
Perfect for lunch or dinner, enjoy the teppanyaki station, salad bar, roast counter, dessert bar or open pastry kitchen. and they also provide unlimited drinks including coffee.
One of my favourite places when on Southbank

Approximate cost: $20

Kitchen Workshop is a high quality buffet style restaurant. I would not recommend coming here with less than 3 people. I went with my partner and we were both getting up so much for food, we never saw each other! So definitely, a great place to go with family or a group of friends. There is heaps of variety, including a stir frys, carved meats, seafood, soups and salads. Great value if you're prepared to eat a lot! The dessert section is fabulous, so save room! So many little options, including jellies, chocolate mouse, selction of cakes, panacotta, fruits and ice cream. I would recommend dining here, throughout the week, as it gets really busy on the weekends. But overall, a great experience!

Great buffet with lots of variety and very fresh foods. It costs $37.50 for weekend lunch and $19.50 for weekday lunch the only difference being a plate seafood on weekends which you are only allowed one plate of. YOu have to pay extra for drinks at the bar. I do not suggest weekend lunch. The dessert choice is plentiful, lots of pandan options, Skip the icecream though as it is watery. Overall not bad buffet.

it's a buffet style restaurant, great variety (at times a bit too overwhelming because you don't know where to start!) but you definitely get your money's worth, depending on your appetite and how much you can eat

gets too busy sometimes and the wait to get seated can take a while at peak hours, and it gets frustrating asking for water at the bar when everyone's there as well

am a massive fan of their dessert area, so even the kids would love the place too!

definitely agree about buffets, where do you start! So tell us what are some of the good dishes you enjoyed?

the fried dumplings are usually pretty good, the asian style meat & chicken with seasoning as well

but i do have to admit my favorite's the salad bar! so many options to choose from xx

Great place for a catch up with heaps of friends before a night out, thats if you dont over eat and need a nap. This place is a buffet all you can eat but a nicer place than you think these places to be. Very nice selection of different foods and also a fresh cooked to order noodle station which is great. On entry you get either a plate of fresh prawns or half dozen oysters which are both great. There is a roast meat on sundays and a massive selection of desserts from all around the world. Didnt like the line up the first time we went, it was about an hour wait for a table so the second time we went got there when it opened and had a great time without a wait. Drinks arent included but you can buy jugs of soft drink etc for you tables.
