This restaurant is in the area of my husband's old "stomping grounds" from his youth. Whenever he goes over to visit his side of the family and needs tea, he visits this La Porchetta. We've noticed differences between the two near our present home - I think it's up to the franchisee to make it great or just good.

He had a hawaiian pizza as his normal order and while he somewhat enjoy it and ate the lot (yes, large) he said the toppings were less than we normally get at our local one. So, this could have been a night when they ran out of pineapple?

The range of their meals is good, I like how the pasta is chosen and then you construct the sauce you want on it, but some are better than others.

He's also had the lasagne as a change from pizza on one occasion, but said it wasn't tasty or hot enough and he preferred the pizza.

So, food is generally reasonable standard - usually hot and fresh from the oven for take-aways, but there are differences in these restaurants so some are not as "wow" as others. Service was reasonable, but not as fast as they said.

Plenty of off street parking as you pull in off Doncaster Road, but if you really don't like your meal, you can sneak off to an opposition next door. One that makes Pancakes.

I used to love this restaurant for their excellent food and services. My all time favourite Veal scallopini, was one of the best I have tried but my recent visits were rather disappointing. The services were still good but the quality of the food has dropped tremendously. Don't think I will be going back again anytime soon.

Great value for money and their pizzas are terrific; pastas not so nice. Portions are huge. I like this La porchetta rather than the others that I have tried

The pizza is good, the service is satisfactory, and the price is good for an informal meal. No complaints!

This place was nice when Adrian and Kim ran it. Unfortunately lots of staff changes has hurt the consistency of the food quality. The prices have gone up and the skill set or 'care' has dwindled, a lot like the carlton establishment. It really Looks like the owner has lost interest and put all his efforts into the new store.

Every La Porchetta is pretty much the same - there are no surprises with the menu and the wait staff quite cordial. Our group ordered 4 pizzas and they came out very quickly. Lots of topping, lots of cheese.

We had a lactose-intolerant person with us so he asked the waiter to double what he could have. According to him all the pastas had lactose, and the only one without lactose was the risotto bolognese. I'm not sure if that was a customised order but the flavour was a bit limp.

La Porchetta have a great menu that is good value. The service is also very good in which you get served you're food in no time.

We ate here last night after several months and was impressed by the service, presentation and manner of staff and the restaurant, and absolutely loved the vegetarian pizza we ordered.

This place is a winner. Its clean and spacious. Staff are friendly and the pizzas are done with love. The only thing they could improve on is having better quality wines - Rothbury's is a no go

Service is very quick, food is in big servings which is always nice. Usually when we go it is late on a week night but even though there are minimal people there they are always happy to let us come in and serve us. I have been going with friends for at least a year now and will still keep doing so
