One of my favorite places when I visit Melbourne. Such a great store, lovely staff and excellent service.

Great choice of dessert, macaroon, drinks, etc. it's a but pricy but iT's good when you want to have a bit of time with friends, hang out in the cbd area.
The thing that I hate is they dont have a toilet there so make sure you go to the loo before you sit in and order your dessert.
Staffs are really friendly (in melbourne), but not the one in sydney

I have been there few times. I love chocolates. Need I say more? Well, I must admit there are better cafes in the City. For me, it's all about variety. If I feel like I am in the mood for a Lindt chocolate - I visit there. I get hot chocolate. Better still, I prefer to get one extra chocolate shot with the hot chocolate. Who am I kidding? Few extra chocolate shots! And they are fantastic. The service is a bit of a hit and miss. They could be quite busy. I prefer to sit outside as the seating inside is rather too close for me.

Approximate cost: $15 - 20

I don't understand why they draw in the crowds (can only suppose that the brand & reputation proceeds it). Having been there - I can report that there are much better places in town to frequent - for the discerning patron.
There are several factors which disappoint
- Surrounds are nice, but acoustics are terrible; you will have some difficulty in carrying on conversation with your companions
- Items on the menu are somewhat exaggerated (in the description) & overpriced (you pay a significant premium for the Lindt brand)
- Macarons (or delice, as they call them) are definitely not up to an acceptable standard (hollow shells & spread feet & the creme filling is not fresh)
- Dessert items are not worth the exceptional price tags in terms of pastry craftsmanship & quality of ingredients

The staff are definitely very friendly and welcoming, but that doesn't make up for other disappointments.

This cafe is pure luxury. The cafe looks like a ballroom and the drinks, meals and sweets are simply divine. This cafe is a regular of mine and the staff are very friendly and welcoming, however the cafe can get quite busy sometimes but it's definitely worth the wait. Try the macaroons and the hot chocolates, simply divine.

Approximate cost: $15

We visited this place last week and after experiencing it in Sydney, we thought we would try it in Melbourne. I particularly liked their iced chocolates.....my fav, and can be quite sickening as the chocolate is very rich and smooth. I loved it! the food on the other hand was a little overpriced (so were the drinks) but being on Collins St and right next to Tiffany and CO, didnt expect anything different.
they stock alot of lindt products you just dont find anywhere else and they are worth visiting for sure. very decadent!

We were slightly disappointed. My husband's from Switzerland so we thought it'd be nice to go here. Our problem, a 2 month old baby in a pram. The place is extremely cramped, and we had to carry the pram up 5 steps to get to the main cafe. Then there was a glass panel in the way so I had to ask some customers to move so we could get the pram through. How would a wheelchair bound person cope here? We were even told by one waiter that our pram was in the way. Sorry!
Anyway, we did order their hot chocolate and shared a chocolate waffle. These were absolutely delicious. We also brought home some macaroons (Luxemburgerli at Spruengli in Switzerland) which were delicious.

Approximate cost: $10

There's another entrance inside the arcade where wheelchairs and prams can easily access the store.
