I fact I discovered only a week ago (and I've been going to them for ages!) is that they are 100% vegetarian! That's right, their burgers, their "sausage rolls", their everything! No meat at LOTF!
Personally, I don't mind at all, but was impressed that their burgers are as good as they are without meat!
But, as posted on a number of other comments, their franchise - Fries - lets them down terribly.

The smell from this place has lured me in to buy several times, despite being a failure in the chips/fries department. I like the burgers, burgers are nice. Unfortunately the chips have really let the name down every time I've tried them. They always seem to taste undercooked despite being very hot and freshly made. Perhaps they are forgetting to blanch the chips prior to frying?

Lord of the Fries has swiftly become a Melbourne institution and part of the reason why I moved here! I wish I could give them a higher score on quality, unfortunately I can't help but think the quality has diminished as they stretched their franchise operations, but that's understandable and I'd rather they become a more convenient option to the regular meat-guzzling fast food places. Worth a trip just to say you've tried it!

My favourite fries in Australia. These are absolutely brilliant and I often make trips to the city to fill my craving for lord of the fries. The vegan burgers are great as well and I'm very impressed to see vegetarian fast food. Especially of such high quality!

Bought fries during a visit to the city. The people working there looked professional, and when they served the fries it was smoking hot and tasty. They didn't supply much fries but it was good quality.

Lord of the Fries is a great idea in that it has reinvented a simple meal that most people enjoy (burgers and fries), and givin it a fresh feel with a delicious product.. with a good variety of tasty sauses for the chips and interesting styles of burgers its a cool place to eat .. also the burgers are vegetarian which works well for me...

This is one of my favourite places to eat in Melbourne. I love the burgers and its hard to believe they are vegan, they are so tasty! The fries with mayo are also so yummy. I love Lord of the fries.

Take-away fast food for vegans and vegetarians. Their chips are nice and chunky, and the burgers are very tasty - they also come in two sizes so you're not stuck eating more than you want. Ordering can be hard work with some of the staff members, but the food is fantastic!
