My dog usually goes to the vet at Sunshine. I started using Lort Smith service in the past few months. We had our 15 years old dog put down there in April by a female asian vet there. I think her name was Dr Candy or Dr Ng. She was very caring and lovely. Our new puppy saw her as well a couple of times with a crook knee cap. Dr Candy always explain things very well to us. We were well informed before the surgery and happy with the out come.

Lort Smith Animal Hospital has amazing service. I always feel confident leaving my animals there. The staff there are always very friendly and honest. Lort Smith also has an animal shelter, where people can take their animals if they can no longer care for them. The shelter can no longer take strays in though. We have adopted animals from here in the past and we are extremely happy with the service that we received. For $130 you can get a kitten under 6 months and they come de-sexed, microchipped and vaccinated. Cats over 6 months are $100. Puppies under 6 months are $260 and dogs over 6 months are $210. Overall we are very happy with the service of the Lort Smith Animal Hospital. We will continue going there and recommending them to friends and family. :)

We got our dog Heidi from the Lord Smith Shelter and before we took her home she had to be desexed at the Animal Hospital. They were very good. They said that I could call anytime to check on how she was going. The service was good prior to and when we picked her up and her follow up appointment also was good. They were always friendly and kind to us but most of all they were good with our dog who is a big part of our family now.

My cat goes here for check ups and in emergencies. They provide a quality service and give you reassurance your pet will be treated professionally. They bounced my cat to the front of the queue when he had symptoms that could mean a serious health issue. Waiting room has a wide-screen TV!

Lort Smith was able to take care of my cat when I was not in a position to be able to pay vet fees up front and therefore no other vet would look after him. Lort Smith arranged an ambulance to collect him and gave him excellent care and attention and all follow up visits and medication and allowed me to pay off the bill over time in instalments that were affordable. Their vet services were also considerably cheaper than other vets.

The Lort Smith Animal Hosptial Not only offers a fantastic veternairy hospital, but also a shelter for stray cats and dogs. People can bring in animals that they find as strays and the Lort Smith will happily take them and try and reunite them with their owners. If they cant find the owners they will then be put up for adoption and hopfully find a new loving home. The shelter is open 7 dya s a week which is really conveinient if you work during the week. The prices are great and the kittens, cats, dogs and puppies come vaccinated, microchipped, desexed and 28 days health guarentee.

Approximate cost: $90 For Kittens & Cats - $150 for dogs and puppies

The lort smith animal hospital is the biggest animal hospital in the southern hemisphere. It is a fantastic hospital with very friendly staff. I have taken all of my pets there for years and have never had a problem. They are very helpful and will always tell you what is best for your animal friends. The also have a beautiful cat and dog shelter there. The prices a great considering what you get when you adopt an animal there. You may have a little bit of a wait in the waiting room if you dont have an appointment, but they will never turn you away.

We have always taken our animals here for treatment and have found the service to be exceptional. the staff are always professional, friendly and truly care about your furry friends. Over the years they have treated our rabbit, dog and 3 cats. I wanted to rate them here because although they are a non-profit and non -government funded organisation they ALWAYS treat our furry friends as the most important client of the day. The costs incurred are exceptional value and it seems from what I have witnessed that no-one is turned away through hardship with a payment plan for concession card holders when needed.
