Best laksa in Sydney. Super quick service.

This place is usually packed during lunch on weekdays. There are no table service, you order and pay at the counter. This place reminds me of restaurants in asian - kinda dingy but amazing food. I can't wait to try their char kway teo next time.

I loved this restaurant, the food was so delicious and so affordable. I ordered the hainanese chicken rice and the chicken was so tender. My friend ordered the laksa and loved it too. The service is pretty much quick. The restaurant get so busy, that it is hard to find a table. I suggest going there early so you get a table.

Great place for takeaway lunch for the budget conscious here! Get here early or you will have to join the long queue of hungry office workers, and if your lucky a seat maybe available. We came and got takeaway here the other week, we ordered skinless chicken laksa for $9.70 and the tasty hainan ( steamed boneless chicken) with sauces for $8.70/ Both dishes were delicious and happy we for some change from a $20 note! Will definitely come back if I'm ever near Hunter Street again!! Yum!

I heard a lot of people said the laksa here is very good. So I went there yesterday and order the prawn laksa, It is the best laksa I have ever had. The prawn was not overcooked, and the taste was just right. Very cheap and quick service. Strongly recommend to go there for lunch.

Laksa is one of my favourite foods and I am yet to find somewhere that trumps this place!!

A vegetable laksa is about $8 or so and the serving is massive!! You can get take away but the containers aren't that big, so you definitely get more value for money by eating in.

This place is always packed from 12pm - 2pm and the line goes out the door, so if you can, get in really early or a bit later.

They do a really nice Hainan chicken as well which is about $10.

The service is average but quite quick and the owner is a lovely older man. He's definitely hands on and has no problem serving people despite the fact he has quite a few staff.

I used to work near this place but have since changed jobs and will make the 20min walk, just to get take away laksa for lunch!

Definitely the best laksa in Sydney and no matter how infrequently I go in there, the owner, knows our faces and knows instantly our usual order. Really busy at lunch times, I prefer to go in for an early dinner after work (they close at about 7pm weeknights) but you can always get a seat.

Not expensive, absolutely delicious without a doubt!! Most likely to be the best laksa I have ever tasted! They have a range of either chicken, beef, etc. And everyone should go!

Good Malaysian food, pretty authentic...I come here whenever my cravings hit. Haven't actually tried their laksa but their prawn noodles (har mee) and seafood kway teow (rice noodle) soup are really really good. Wish they were still on Castlereagh St (although the Hunter St. outlet is much nicer)

This place makes the best laksas in sydney! They are very busy during lunch-time, but definitely worth the wait. The portions are big enough so that you feel really full by the time you are 3/4 of the way done. For those that don't eat all meats, like myself, they are able to adjust and put in the meat of your preference if necessary. I would suggest that it is best to either go here before the lunch rush or sometime in the afternoon, perhaps just after leaving work. You will tend to get better one-on-one service and won't be rushed aside.

One of the busiest restaurant/ takeaway in the CBD and that says a lot ---- Authentic, satisfying laksa as well as prawn noodle soup dish called Harmee would make you come back for more even though it is extremely hard to get a seat during lunch hour.
