We took our two young girls (4 & 7yrs) here for a fun afternoon out. You will need to call and book ahead. They have two sessions (morning & afternoon). We went to the afternoon session as we were advised that this is when they milk the cows (you won't see the milking in the morning). We were shown the chickens and got to feed them. We were then taken down to the milking shed and got to watch the cows being milked. We were then taken to another area and were shown how cows used to be milked by hand. We were offered the chance to have a turn at milking the cow!! Lastly we were shown a short video all about the farm. Afterwards we were offered Maleny Dairy products to taste (yogurt, milk). There is a huge grass area for the kids to run around on and a small cafe so you can sit back with a coffee and watch them. It would be lovely to pack and picnic and enjoy your lunch or afternoon tea here. Excellent value for money :)

We've been going to Maleny Dairy for a few years to take the tour of the dairy or just to stock up when we're in the area. The staff are friendly & helpful. I love the idea of a small independent dairy & the quality of their products is far superior to some of the larger brand names.

We have just gone a tour of Maleny Dairies on Saturday with our two kids and we are more then happy to say it was AMAZING! both of our kids had such a fun day out and it was good quality old fashion fun on the farm. It is such exceptional value and we found the service to be fantastic. I am telling everyone I know about our amazing family day at Maleny Dairies.

Maleny Dairies has a great tour where you can see the new calves as well as see how their milk is made. You then get to taste their milk, which still has that rich full taste that milk is meant to be. Great place to take the kids.

I lived in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland for a number of years and one of the things I miss most about it is Maleny Dairies. I was fortunate enough to be able to take my children there on several occasions for guided tours and they enjoyed themselves thoroughly. There's nothing better than seeing the delight in their eyes as they gaze at the young calves and cows. For the very reasonable entrance fee you also receive free samples of their truly delicious flavoured milk, which is always a favourite with the children.

With the monopolization of milk distribution and supermarket prices wars it's wonderful that there's still an independent dairy producing high quality natural products. If you have children, take them to the dairy for a visit. If you can find Maleny Dairy products on your supermarket shelves, by some and support an important local business.

Approximate cost: $10.00

Wow! If ever you get nostalgic about 'real' milk, especially the gold top bottles that used to have the cream blob under the foil lid, then check out Maleny Dairies products. I get mine at Mrs Flannerys but other stockists are listed on their website.

There is simply no comparison. I recently bought Pauls Pure Cream and whipped it up to serve with fruit salad and after having recently had Maleny Dairies guernsey cream, the difference was like light years.

The cream is yellow, thick and absolutely delicious. We've made ice cream and butter with it and I guarantee, once you try it, you won't be able to slum it with other brands again.

Haven't been to the dairy itself but fully intend to very soon.

We have been here with playgroup excursions, kindy excursions and an excursion with school. The dairy is great, very educational, the family that run the tours are all very nice and they have a little coffe shop now too.

What fantastic produce you can get from this working farm. My son went on a school excursion and insisted we visit again. I was glad he did! You can do farm tours for a reasonable price where you can see Guernsey cows being milked, how the milk is pasteurised and packed for the shops. You can also buy milk, cheese, custard, yoghurt, etc at very reasonable prices when you finish your tour. Where sandshoes but well worth the visit. Just before Maleny (look for the turnoff on the lefthand side).

Approximate cost: $9/tour
