Was told i only had a 1 and a half hour wait. 3 and a half hours later i was still waiting. No social distancing and no one was cleaning. My doctor knew why i was there and she knows i still have to get to the treatment room, provide a sample, go back to treatment and wait an extra 15 minutes afterwards. That includes waiting in line for treatment which became full capacity. I was waiting for over an hour and some people walked through the door and were seen immediately. With no appointment booked. I arrived early at around 9am and i didnt get out until afternoon. Just to have a regular injection. By the time i left the waiting time had increased to 5 hours. No radio, no tv, so if ever you do go there bring your earphones, and a good book, ensure if you can as well provide your own food and drink and make sure your electronics are fully charged. Its a long long wait. Dont forget the kids entertainment.

Arrived and told there was a two hour wait. On checking after two hours was told I have to wait a further Hour and a half. So, three and a half hours for a normal consult. Don't show up unless you pre-book. it's simply a waste of time.

Pity you need to have a star at all as it doesn't rate that high.
I have been on the telephone for 2 hours & 15mins on hold now, still waiting. I have been to this practice on on many occasions over a couple of decades.
It is pretty bad when you look at their system. 2hours plus to make an appointment over the telephone, then another 1-2 hours waiting to see your doctor from your allotted time.
I truly understand why people don't go to see a doctor. I was going to hang up, but out of curiosity I would like to see how long it takes to answer or will they just hang up while on hold...
Stay tuned...
2 hours & 38mins (driving equivalent, adelaide to pt pirie 233km) before getting through, so I would suggest having breakfast before making that call, pack a picnic hamper & something to drink, feet up, relax, now make the call.

Yes, you usually expect to have to wait for a period of time to see a doctor here, and that's usually no problem. Although this morning after waiting an hour, I went to check where I was in the queue to see Dr Harris. I was told that there were still about 4 people in front of me. When I went back after TWO hours to check, I was told that she must have my booking paper and that I would be the next to be seen. After she took TWO MORE people in front of me, I tried to ask her if she had my booking paper (as per what the receptionist thought ), as she was calling for the next patient in the waiting room. EXTREMELY disappointed that she couldn't take just two seconds to clarify if she had it, or if it had somehow been misplaced, but instead mumbled something about trying to see as many patients as possible. I 'get' that she was doing her best, but I tried to reiterate that I was just wondering if she was had my booking paper as I had already waited two hours and people that came after me were being seen and she replied with a "possibly". Returned to the desk for a third time to take the next in line. I understand that you don't get to make an appointment and AGAIN reiterate that a wait is expected, but after two hours, and EVERYONE in the waiting room being seen before me, and then for her to not even have the courtesy to just check if she had my booking paper was very, very poor service.

its good to see soo many positive reviews on here about the domain! I have heard so many nightmare stories about it and althought i agree that the wait time was a little long - i found the doctors to be really good and the chemist staff to be very friendly as well. for a bulk billing clinic it is one of the better ones I have been to

I had my first visit early this month: The dentist, Dr Robert Goode, was very gentle and reassuring. He listened to, and acknowledged my concerns. I have a lifelong fear of dentists due to bad childhood experiences and Dr Goode made my visit a positive experience. I will definitely go back. Cost was around $220 I think, which covered inspection, clean/descale, and two x-rays but I paid nothing as my health fund covered it all. Pleasant reception staff and dental nurse, clean and relaxing reception area, they have HiCaps for instant claiming.

So necessary to loose the fear of dentists.

If your a low income earner, want someone who bulk bills, have a pension card or health care card need to see a doctor or need to see and meet some caring staff, "The Marion Domain" is for you...yes it gets busy at times and you'll have to wait your turn because appointments aren't made..and yes it gets tiresome hearing that sick child screaming in the next room but its worth it, to see a friendly smile for your doctor, someone you can really talk to and get some results from....I've been going there for years and I wont change now for anything....

This is one of the few doctors in adelaide that bulk bill everyone still. But because of this you cant make an appointment and its walk in only so often you can find yourself waiting for a while. They offer a range of services in the building though such as dental and chiro. They are also very close to the massive marion shopping centre so in theory you could do your shopping while on the waiting list then come back. Its the sort of place you come to if you dont have much money or you cant get into your normal doctors.

This doctor is unlike most others in that you cannot make an appointment, and takes a while to get seen.

If you walk in, you will get put in the queue, and if you like you can go shopping at Marion for a while and pop back in - the library is also close by.

It's not great, but they bulk-bill and have really late opening hours.

I have been here twice now and it is a unique set up, aimed at reducing the amount of people in hospital emergency rooms. You cannot make an appointment. There is a free multi-story car park on site, and you tell the receptionist at the desk you would like to see a doctor. You then wait for the next available doctor. The wait is generally around 45 minutes. It is bulk billed and has a discount pharmacy inside the building. It is open till late, and also has an x ray section and a dental section. The doctors are great, and even though waiting is a little long, it is completely free, and when I go to my normal doctor (who isn't free) he is often running at least half an hour late anyway, so it's really not much different.

The bad thing about going here is that you often have to wait a couple of hours to see a doctor, and that's not fun when you're sick. The doctors are helpful most of the time, but I've been here a couple of times and the doctors weren't able to diagnose me. Plus, if you have to go back for a follow up appointment or injection, you have to wait a couple more hours

I have frequently visited this doctors as it is my local surgery. The wait time is often very long which can be frustrating but you are allowed to go away once you have booked in (remember to advise the staff once you return). I have noticed that it is a lot quieter since they stopped bulk billing.

I could vaguely understand the way this clinic ran when they used to bulk bill - although it was still awful! I thought when they stopped bulk billing that their practices might improve but they haven't. I am a working professional and do not have time to sit around for who knows how long to wait for a doctor that looks down their nose at you and rushes you out as quickly as possible. I cannot understand why they can't have an appointment schedule! It is a terrible system, forcing most people to see multiple different doctors rather than waste half a day or more waiting for one particular doctor. This cannot be good for continuity of care! I would choose to stay at home and not see a doctor if this was the only choice. The desk staff are some of the rudest people I've met in my life and treat everybody like second class citizens. Massive thumbs down for this clinic.

Hi KerryR2, thanks for the detail which many will appreciate. Continuity of care certainly falls short in such establishments and one wonders how many lives could be saved with improved care. As for the receptionist staff, ignorance and impertinence appears to be a prerequisite of employment. Clearly a most unsatisfactory manner in which to conduct any business! Regards, Reeces

Waiting time is dreadful. I have waited well over 6 hours for an appointment. You feel rushed when you finally get to see a doctor and don't feel like you are getting your money's worth.
Definitely not a place for children to be patient.

Connieq, a six hour wait is shameful and should not be tollerated. Thanks for expressing your thoughts. Regards, Reeces

as these big companies buy up the little local practices, this is what it has come down to. my doctor only works mon,wed and fridays, not during school holidays, so i get to the front doors at 6.40am for when they open at 7.00am to let them know who i am wanting to see at 9.00am, to then sit and wait until 7.45am to line up again to book in at 8.00am, to try to be the first patient at 9.00am. this system causes alot of arguements between the patients waiting, who was first, they have started charging 30.00 gap payment now also. it is alot to got through to see your doctor if you are sick, but what else can i do?????

Approximate cost: $30.00

Hi NaomiM3, thanks for your review. Given that there are so many negative comments/complaints regarding this business (on WOMO and other websites), one cannot help but wonder what would happen if patients started, 'voting with their feet and wallets' and went elsewhere. A $30- co-payment for this type of minimalist service does not sit well with us, nor do the lengthy wait times. A similar (Ballarat based) practice started acting in the same manner and were quickly boycotted, which led to them reestablishing their bulk billing. It is unfortunate (and indeed shameful) that Australia appears to be following in Americaâ??s footsteps. Things can only get worse when money comes before human health and wellbeing. Regards, Reeces

This is a bulk-billing, many-doctor centre. They do not take appointments, you just have to turn up and wait until a doctor is ready to see you. This can be over 2 hours as I found out - and with a bored 3 year old inventing his own amusement it got quite stressful. You can go over to Westfield Marion for part of your waiting time. There are no magazines or toys provided to help you while away the time, so come prepared. I've tried it out several times and it has been unsatisfactory each time. So that's it - never again. My newborn had his first checkup & injections here and we were there for over 3 hours all up! And if you need to leave a sample (as my older son did when he had gastro) you can't just drop it off at the counter, you have to take a number and wait to see a nurse. And then if you want the results you can't just ring up, you have to come back and see a doctor again - and endure another wait!

I was so pleased to find such a friendly and effective dental clinic. I was blown away by the staff and how lovely they were, they were so friendly and helpful, the complete opposite of most dentist experiences in the past! I will recommend family and friends to visit this clinic in future and will continue to use them myself of course!
