Called John and was able to take 4 x knives to him in Moorabbin that afternoon - job complete in under an hour, great price and awesome sharpness on my knives now- thank you !

Wouldn’t recommend Master Sharp. Took three Zwilling kitchen knives to be sharpened and Jon wouldn’t give me a price and send me away. I thought knife sharpening is what they do

I recently had Jon restore my grandmothers 3 piece antique carving set,he removed the rust from all three pieces, straightened and sharpened the blade on the knife and brought all the silver fittings back to life. My wife & I purchased a beautiful antique carving set on a recent trip to the UK & had Jon sharpen & restore all three pieces of the set. The carving set was transformed from an old curio into a beautiful & functional carving set. Based on so many 5 Star reviews, I called Jon at Master Sharp. Jon was very prompt in responding with an appointment time to meet, and suggested that if I had a sharpening steel, I should bring it and he would instruct me on its use. I had a large number of knives and scissors and not only did he informatively discuss them with me, but gave me a lesson on keeping them sharp with my steel. The large amount of items to be sharpened required a bit of time, so I went to Costco. The DFO and Southland are also near by so I was occupied for the hour or so that it took. I'm very very happy with my newly sharpened knives, scissors, and shears. Thank you Jon, it was a pleasure to meet you and I will surely recommend you to my friends.

Jon was quick to respond to emails and open about the price guide and he was flexible about the time of appointment. I went to see him and he did an excellent job.

John did repair my chipped knife very quickly and it’s been working great.

I am hopeless at sharpening knives so I decided with Christmas fast approaching I needed to get our knives sharpened professionally. We had fifteen to get done so I looked around the various websites based on reviews and decided to try Jon at MASTER SHARP. I didn't think I would be able to get the knives sharpened as I had left it very late. Jon is a marvel. All the knifes are great and like new. His pricing is fantastic.

Jon has sharpened by knives for exactly 25 years , I trust no one else. After purchasing one of his custom knives for a gift 2 years ago, I have till not had to sharpen the knife ( even though there is a warranty) and hand to god have replaced every knife in the house with his custom blades. Better than the best quality Shun blade or any custom knife I have seen to date.

Would recommend Mastersharp to anyone in the market for a good knife or sharpening services.

As I only had 3 knives I took them into Jon at his factory, where he completed the sharpening while I waited. Took about 15 minutes. The cost was very reasonable. I was fascinated to see all the other samples of his work; custom handles and blade etching. Jon also showed me the correct way to use a sharpening steel to ensure I get the best performance and longevity of the - newly - sharpened edges.
Definitely recommend you bring your knives to Jon.

John, has been sharpening our workers scissors for what must be close to 20 years and in all that time his service has been exemplary. Our business requires our quality equipment be in perfect working order and to this end John has been on a monthly rotation with us for years and over that time has never let us down. The BEST service I seen. The Knives came up like brand new, as being a metal tradesman Jon was the very knowledgeable about knives and scissors and their intended usage. He even showed me how to use steel properly. Wow. Just Great. Happy to recommend him to anyone. Thanks Jon

Jon was extremely helpful, and his primary concern was giving me great customer service, he actually talked me out of spending more money with him than I had to. Customer service like that is rare. Good dude.

I'm a collector of vintage and antique chef's knives from around the world (French, English, German, American), most are worth $250 to $500 + each. In my opinion, Jon is the finest craftsmen of his trade in this country. If you're serious about your knives as I am, or your vintage knives are irreplaceable due to their age and/or condition, you wouldn't risk them to anybody else.

Jon sharpened our kitchen block of knives from his van at the South Melbourne Market on the weekend. We had exchanged emails during the week so I knew how to easily find him. He did not charge a flat fee - but a fee per knife. He explained what he was doing as he did it. He even advised how to use the Steel I had - which I'd never used, at least not correctly. Would definitely use again.

I have a hairdressing salon and Jon from Master Sharp comes here to sharpen our scissors. He does an excellent job here on site... he does all the sharpening in his mobile van and the results are excellent and long lasting. I would highly recommend him to anyone in our industry. He also sharpens knives for friends of mine who are chefs and they are also very impressed with his service and quality.
