Just wanted to thank Megasealed for the great job you guys did sealing our leaking bathroom. Your technician who gave us a quote was completely fair and reasonable not to mention friendly and professional. We needed our shower waterproofing done right as we had a leaking shower base. Megasealed did a membrane repair and full shower regrout and we couldnt be happier.

Megasealed did a brilliant job with sealing up my balcony. Contrary to what you hear in most reviews about them, they are actually really good(At least my experience was) The balcony still looks fresh and they led me to this article about how you can prolong the shine. Here it is: https://www.megasealed.com.au/shower-bathroom-waterproofing-brisbane/

All in all a great experience

Had Megaseal out about 4 years ago to grout and seal our shower. Called them back out under warranty for some flaking grout. Tech came and then left in a hurry without showing us his work. Went up to check and found the tech had deeply scratched and gouged one of our floor tiles and then took off. Since then Megasealed keeps putting us off, never, not once has anyone apologised about the damage. After repeated calls to them, they finally called us today to say "all they can do is sand down the tile (to what?) and cover it with grout". So we had a perfectly intact shower stall with no issues and nothing to fix and now we have damage that they will just cover with grout? Mid tile? Needless to say we are now onto Dept of Fair Trading and a lawer that we were then referred to. Reputable, trustworthy businesses don't damage your property, not taking ownership of the problem or inadequately fixing it to as was condition. Avoid these guys at all costs. Not worth the risk. If this is how they deal with an error of their own, imagine trying to deal with any service issues with them.

Addendum: Just to add, from the time the mistake happened to this date, we have had nothing but the run around with calls back avoided and lack of an apology until we sent a letter of demand for remediation. We never heard from the franchise owner in all of this. Their attitude and communication is incredibly poor and lacks any kind of understanding for the issue being caused by themselves. This is not a business with integrity or customer concern. As a side note.......they are also throwing into the mix that they came out to fix the grout only "as an act of goodwill" as our warranty (after 4 years) was not valid. Anyone who has looked at Megasealed ads or website would see bold and upfront the "25 year product warranty" near the heading! Don't believe it. You will see many other reports here of people being told they had no further warranty after a much shorter time. There may be some very fine print somewhere but this was absolutely put forward to us as being for the entire job when we signed on. Please, if you are reading this, AVOID THIS COMPANY. We, like many, are dealing with the fallout from choosing them.

Oh......and to Megaseal....you may want to think twice about sending emails to customers without deleting the prior, rude, forwarding comments from other office staff. We will be posting the damage photo, the text message from the tech who cowardly ran from our house after damaging our floor, and your rude comments here tomorrow. Watch this space.

Horrible job. Basic regrouting and sealing of shower over bath in Melbourne - performed a lazy, sloppy, crooked, messy, half-finished job. Do yourself a favour and buy the grout and sealant from bunnings and do it yourself. Guarantee you couldn't do a worse job than these useless, lazy muppets

My builder engaged Megasealed to rectify a leaking balcony which he was responsible for. He felt they could fix the problem using their so called special process so he would not have to carry out remedial work himself. The rep who came to quote did not like what he saw so he came back with the owner of the Company to get his professional opinion. Owner decided they could fix the problem so the job was quoted and carried out. A full re-grout was done using their special epoxy grout and the job was finished. It soon became obvious the wonder grou t had not worked, so the installer came back on 2 or 3 occasions over the coming months to re-work and touch up the job.
Two years down the track and the leaking balcony is almost as bad as it ever was. This time Megasealed has washed their hands of the whole affair and are refusing to carry out any more work, also saying it is now outside of their "Statutory warranty" Instead, they have provided a quote to demolish and rebuild the balcony for a cost over double the original build cost while claiming to offer a discount for the money already paid.

Megasealed appear to operate on the basis of inflating the cost of any work they get in an attempt to cover their losses for jobs that don't work. The process they use is very much a bodgy attempt to fix things up, and when things go wrong they will use any excuse to get out of it.

I have offered them the opportunity to come back and do the right thing - which they have declined. This case will now be passed to Fair Trading for a resolution.

I employed Megasealed based on an outstanding recommendation from a colleague. Unfortunately, our experience has been very different.

After sealing, the shower still leaked. A second guy came out. It was better, but it still leaked. The first guy came out a second time. Again, better, but not 100%. Then the fun and games started in earnest. It was assessed by a non-technician, who said it "looked fine, apart from the leaking." One wonders if he knew what his company did. The next appointment was made and the guy didn't show. No one rang. I called back. I was promised it would be sorted before Christmas. This visit still hasn't happened. I was told I must attempt to let them fix it, and told to make myself available when their technician is available. I pointed out that I have now stayed home six times to let in someone about the same leaking shower, that my boss actually expects me to go to work and do my job, and that the story is pretty much sounding like the dog at my homework, at this point. This has become such a saga that I got holiday messages from friends wishing me a non-leaking shower in 2013.

I rang to suggest it's time for the money-back guarantee to be enacted and was asked to give them one last chance. I have agreed to this, but am wondering why I did. What's offered is a promise that the shower will never leak again and you'll only be inconvenienced for 48 hours as the shower dries out before and after. What's actually happened for us is that we've paid a lot of money to bring a lot of angst into our lives over a six month period and we've now had 6 weeks where the shower was out of action for 48 hours. I totally regret going this path, and wish I'd just taken the time to clean the shower thoroughly and then applied a product like Shower Plug to the tiles myself. It would have been a lot cheaper and it would have been over. I was worried that, as a non-professional, I might not get it quite right. I've since learned that the professionals don't always manage to get it right, either.

The water proofing in my bathroom is professionally done. No need to replace tile, the bathroom can be use in 24 hours. The job takes only a few hours to complete
